I am a 25 year old stay at home mother & wife. I have a four month old son, and a 7 year old step son. I'm also a cat guardian to two cats. In May 22, 2011 I almost died in a deadly EF5 Tornado. I was stuck underneath the wall of a grocery store. I was 7 weeks pregnant with my 4 month old son at the time. The first hospital I was at said I had a miscarriage without checking me. When I got a second opinion because I was still bleeding and still couldn't walk we found out I was facing potential kidney failure. They projected I would not be able to walk until 6-8 months from time of injury. My son and I faced the odds and overcame them. Today I am in therapy for PTSD & PPD, and I'm learning how to live life as a new mother.
What is your blogging philosophy?
My blogging philosophy is I blog for myself. I've never been the person to tell the world how I feel or how my life is going. Since the May 22nd Tornado I wanted to change that. I have to let other mothers (whether new or experienced) know they are not alone. I have been an internet junkie since I was in middle school. I've focused on anything online before. This is the first time I am using what I know about technology to give myself a voice. I don't believe in sugar coating everything on. In matter of fact you will see posts on how I can't forgive myself for not breastfeeding, for hating my pregnancy, and my difficulties with a stepson. You will see me post the happy moments with my family. I don't see a point for holding back everything as long as it's in a tactful manner - which is what I do.
I want to monetize part of my blog in order to provide more for my family. I love writing product reviews and letting viewers find freebies. I'm nowhere near some of the more experience blogs who receive so much from brands but I will work to get there. I am very open on my blog that I fully intend on attempting to monetize. My blog is a huge part of my life now and I want to use it to impact my family in a positive way.
I write detailed blogs, it's always been my style. I make sure I am consistent, and regular.
As I stated I'm a new mother. I'm also fairly young (25). I hope I can cater to audience - whoever that is.
I have been blogging since...
