I know there are a lot of people, who don't believe in God, who believe prayer is a waste of time, and that miracles are just a coincidence, but my story will prove that prayer does make a difference ( & no I'm not going to preach).
In July 1990, I was in a car accident. Now I don't remember being in an accident & I don't remember being in the hospital or even going to work on that fateful day. Hollie was 6 months old at… Continue

I have two cats and a dog. All female, all small. FREE TO GOOD HOME!
Cat number 1: Name: Miss THANG. She is a princess. No, a Goddess. She sits on her royal thrown all day preening her lovely, tabby fur. She only eats Iams and will not use the litter box unless it is cleaned after every voiding. The litter has to be "Fresh Step" or she will use your bed as her toilet. She must be fed by 7:30 AM or she will do a drive by across you head while you sleep. She is an indoor cat. If you take her… Continue

Some essential oils
, particularly Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) and Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender), have been shown to inhibit the growth of thrush and other fungal infections. When used in a diluted solution, they can bring relief by alleviating the itching and inflammation and soothing the infected areas.
This recipe for the yeast essential oil mix comes from… Continue

My youngest son will be graduating from High School this year and I'm worried. I don't think he has a clue about his future. This is a kid I have had to push all thru school just to graduate. How will he make it thru college? He loves computers and wants to make it a career but I don't think a four year degree is something he can pull off. He has ADHD. That's not an excuse, its a fact. When he is focused on something he likes doing, he can pull of straight A's without a problem. However, when… Continue

I married my high school sweetheart when I was 19 and he was 20. We could hardly wait to start our family, so 1 1/2 years after we wed, our first son was born. I thought if I had my children while I was young, I would still be pretty young when my grandchildren arrived. Through the years, I have often wondered at the wisdom (or lack of wisdom) of this kind of thinking, as most young people have very little experience in raising children, or in life in general. I certainly didn't have much...in… Continue

This morning, Cenzo woke up and went into the bathroom for "potty time." I got him all set up and then went to his room to get him clean underwear. Well, he was bellowing for me so I hurried back thinking he was done. No, the Boss just wanted me to "stay me Mommy." This is nothing unusual as he always requests this and I sit on the small stool in the bathroom and cheer him on as he does his "business." Well today, Cenzo decided he didn't want me to sit on the stool. He said "No sit there! Mommy… Continue

1. Place hooks, shelves and other put things away spaces at eye level so your kids can easily reach them
2. Clean with your child a few times. This allows your child to learn from you what you expect “clean” to look like.
3. Make a chore chart with rewards that are meaningful to your child. And remember that stickers may be meaningful for younger kids but won’t cut the mustard with older kids. Be flexible as kids grow.
4. Limit the number of stuffed animals your child is allowed… Continue

Solar energy is hot—literally. Today, increasingly more people are becoming fascinated by the savings renewable energy can offer. And savings is a hopeful word in today’s economic turmoil. So, what is solar energy exactly? Wikipedia puts it simply, “Solar Energy is the radiant light and heat from the Sun that has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies. Solar radiation along with secondary solar resources such as wind and wave power,… Continue

Are you hosting an Oscar party this weekend? Let’s talk about shopping and how the small changes
you make can make a big impact. Be a motivated green shopper
with these easy tips:

What NOT to do while waiting in the car circle at school.
Picture it, I am in line waiting to move every inch or two by the minute. To ease my troubled 3 year old, I say "Oh Hey! Guess who is behind us? Your friend Oliva and her mommy is in the car behind us!"
- My little Sophia is strapped tightly in her car seat and immediately RAGES into pure excitement and tries to contort her tiny body to get out of the restrainsts to see her friend car behind us.
