To make the sauce that goes on the salmon you simply put in 1 pot and boil:

2 TB low sodium soy sauce

How do you calm a panicked kid?

Okay, this has to be one of the most important skills parents have up their sleeve.  I have a child with asthma.  In my case it's vital.  If a kid panics, things just escalate out of control.  So, any tricks we teach our children to stay calm can be life saving.  You can read all about that in my book Little Patient Big Doctor.

Even if you are not dealing with asthma but have a child who is stuck on top of…

Does the Catholic Church Hate Women?

"The whole thing stinks to high heaven."

It definitely does! But, I'm not siding with Father Ed Tomlinson, the author of the quote and the parish priest at St. Barnabas church in Tunbridge Wells, England. His comment comes as a response to the Archdeacon of Rochester refusing to allow him to hold services at St. Barnabas if he and his parish defect from the Church of England and… Continue

Reading with the Medium (by CJ)

Last week I had a reading with a medium called Lorraine Holloway-White. I've known Lorraine for a few months now. Raising Healthy Kids

  • Introduce good eating habits early in your children’s life.
  • Pay attention to your children’s weight as he or she grows. Be sure to discuss your children’s situation with your pediatrician or other healthcare provider.
  • Let your children learn to respond to internal hunger cues rather than learned social ones. Don’t worry if your kids don’t eat as much as you think they should.
  • Encourage your children to be physically active. Remember that not all physical…

Dump Your Watch and Get More Out of Your Day

I'm thisclose to declaring email bankruptcy. I recently returned from a week long business trip to Asia and, no kidding, I had 700 emails in my in-box--and that's with an out-of-office notification turned on. To cap it off, I had a pile of mail, dozens of meeting requests to sort through and a laundry list of items I needed to do at home.  If you feel whipsawed by a never ending stream of voice…
