Time for me

I feel like I'm constantly putting out fires.  During the day I am a busy Mom and I try to make sure everyone has what they need for the day including a quick hug and kiss if they need it or having a bad day.  The day always goes zooming by and before I look up its time for bedtime rituals - bath, brush teeth..

When do you find time for yourself?  I really try to carve out an hour for myself.  If you don't sometime you will go bonkers.  I will read or watch a television show.  I love…

Don't Hate Me 'Cus

http://projectsupermom.blogspot.com/2011/03/dont-hate-me-cus.html

Having spent the past few years navigating the world of motherhood, it is amazing in its sisterhood. Once you're in the club, you're in the club! But acceptance doesn't come as easily as you might think. There are very distinct branches within the club, and they don't necessarily commingle...kinda like oil and water. There are the crafty…

How To Raise A Happy Kid...Idea #493

Sometimes kids are grumpy in the morning, hell, who isn’t. Why? Well, they don’t want to wake up and start working, who does? Burrowing under the warm covers like a mole hiding from the blazing sunlight seems like a much better.

But here’s something that generally makes Sandor, who is a pretty typical eight year old, feel a little better in the mornings. We don’t talk about school, we talk about the…

Jamie Berry

There are a lot of artist who are unique in their own right, but every so often, I find someone who both touches and inspires me. I stumbled upon Jamie Berry via twitter.  I found his style to be reminiscent of my childhood. We are never one version of ourselves. Continued...

Oscar Party, Gold Party, Get Paid to Party?

I’d be remised if I didn’t acknowledge the sweeping Oscar win for Best Actress in a Leading Role by mom-to-be, Natalie Portman, for her outstanding performance in the quite twisted, but brilliant, Black Swan. Pre-baby bump, Natalie spent one-year training to acquire such a…

My Own Personal Touch of Being Positive

I'm welcoming wholeheartedly the first day of March today (Malaysia Standard Time). I've set up some commitments for myself. They are yet to be documented on a hardcopy but nicely arranged in my own 'hard disk' aka my brain.

I want to be positive at all time but failed sometimes. And at those times that I'd succeed, I have my own tips (for myself) of how I should stay the same. I mean how to keep the positive energy and not slowing down at the same time. The energy covers all…

These Kids Are My Whole World

And that is why I am going to post a gazillion pictures in this post!  And you will love them all, just as much if not more than I do.  Okay that was a lie, but I think you'll like them. A lot.

Levi has an obsession with shoes. He loves any kind of shoe, especially boots.  He's wearing my little sister's faux Uggs.…

New Facebook Changes

There have been several new changes on Facebook lately both on personal and fan pages. The layout of fan pages has been changed to resemble the changes made on personal profile pages a couple months back. The biggest change on the fan pages is a little option you will notice over on the right hand side that you can “use Facebook as” whatever the title of your fan page is. Prior to this it was easy to post on your own fan page as your business entity but if you…

New Google Ranking Factors

Back in the spring of 2010, Google had announced that it was not factoring in links shared through social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter in to its rankings. Recently however, Google has changed its mind. These links shared through users on social media sites now have a direct impact on your rankings. Google has said that it will factor in the authority of the person posting the link to decide how much the link will count.Social authority is designated…

Using Stumble Upon

When I first started using social media, Facebook came easy. It is pretty self explanatory and easy to network with others with like interests. Twitter came next and although it looked confusing and overwhelming at first, once you dive in, it really is easy. StumbleUpon is one that I looked at several times and just could not seem to be able to figure out how to use it to its highest benefit. I kind of gave up on it at first until person after person continued to tell me that some of their…
