Okay, I know. It's Mother's Day and what am I doing cooking, right? Well, my husband got the plague, and our usual festivities had to be altered a bit. So I decided to start my recipe blogging tonight instead. I was one of the lucky ones chosen to blog about my experiences with the Six O' Clock Scramble
. So far so good. Here is my take on tonight's recipe.
I decided to start with a… Continue

It's Mother's Day again.
That glorious time of year when mothers around the country get to do absolutely nothing of their choosing and are forced to suffer quietly with their hands folded in their laps, like repentant children who've stuck their hand in the cookie jar one too many times, but instead of a moist, delicious cookie, have managed to pull out three of four screaming children instead.
The shock of childbirth has long since worn off, and as we arrange ourselves… Continue

We just had the twin’s third birthday party and the house is covered in princess and train paraphernalia and pink wrapping paper. Yasmine ended up hiding behind the sofa with two scrapped knees while Emeray screamed Continue
because target forgot to put the screws in the Little Peoples train world box.
And its not even time for cake.
The whole time all I can think about is that they are THREE they are not
really toddlers anymore that are going to…

"I believe children how the power to change the world. They have an innocence and sense of good that allows them to change things that the cruel impassionate world cannot even see. Children have one mission to love and change… This I believe.

My oldest left this morning for a school over-night trip and I just feel so sad. I mean, I'm happy for her. She seemed excited. It's just that I feel so---- strange.
The class is spending a night on The Oregon Trail and they've prepared by studying what life was like then. Getting their "hobo stoves" made so they can cook like a pioneer and learning folk music to sing by the camp fire.
We've been planning this trip for a few weeks. The right sleeping bag, the right rain gear (I live… Continue

On my library blog
, I've been participating in the 31 Day Comment Challenge
and it has been inspirational and enlightening.
Normally, I blow thematic challenges off or I lose interest after a couple of days because of my ability to become absolutely and totally obsessed by nothing at all. Or, what my sister calls, adult onset ADH-shiny! However, this challenge has… Continue

Confession: I have a blog on blogger.com.
Why is this a confession? What makes it so out-of-the-ordinary? Nothing, really. Other than the fact that in two months I've only made four posts. To be honest, I started with honest intentions. I wanted to blog on a daily basis, sharing my life and innermost secrets with perfect strangers. And then, I guess, life happened. I got a job full-time, I started school full-time, my husband drove me nuts full-time. You get the gist.
So here I… Continue

I wanted to share with you a very joyous moment. I just got my yellow belt in Tae Bo Kwon, Billy Blank's martial arts interpretation of Tae Kwon Do. He's the only 8th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do in the United States, and I'm so honored to have the opportunity to study under him, Shellie, and Julieanne. When this picture was taken, I had just finished my test and was high on life.
My name is Leah Segedie and I'm Chief Mom of… Continue

Hi, I'm Redhead Mama, Chief Mom of Operations of Bookieboo

Hi! I'm Redhead Mama, Chief Mom of Operations of Bookieboo
. I'm so honored to be able to share my experiences with everyone of how I lost weight and how I am continuing to stay on track.
My second piece of advice is this:
If you have a large goal like I did, don't think about it in it's entirety. (This is very important!) The best thing to do is break it up… Continue

Hi! I'm Redhead Mama, Publisher of Bookieboo
When people find out how much weight I've lost, especially if they did not know me when I was heavier, they look at me in amazement like I've done something impossible. My weight loss and new lifestyle have nothing to do with super human strength. I'm an ordinary stay-at-home mom with a very active toddler boy, whom I named the site after. Everything… Continue

I guess it is a bit different than writers block...or maybe it is the same?? I am so excited to be in this group yet...heaven help me, I have nothing to write about... except about the inability to write. I know exactly what is cutting off the creativity supply to my brain. I am single-mom-ing it for two weeks while my hubby is away so balancing toddlers and working from home with very little assistance has absorbed the forefront of my brain. I know so many others do it all of the time but it… Continue
