Bird Brains of Hysteria Lane

Gossip is bad. Right? Yeah, it’s bad. Especially when it involves pointing out the very worst we see in others. But, we have been tainted by the mainstream media, magazines, TV shows and “news stories” just enough to believe we have some sort of reporter/journalistic integrity and novelty when we spew out any juicy morsel that happens by our radar-sensitive eyes and ears. Just the type of behavior we want our kids to adopt, right?

Hey, I know I am on the mark here, because the Lilo… Continue

**NEW POST**: Where do the children play?

Anyone else out there notice that the local playground looks like an apocalyptic scene from Mad Max?

First, you’ve got the social breakdown that naturally occurs when 20+ children under the age of 3 are within 20 feet of one another...

An outfit, a car wreck, TMJ, and TGIF!

Last night I raced home from work to relive Mike of baby duty so he could go give a few roof and paint estimates to people. I loaded Em, and Jude in the car and we went to get some groceries. My house was beginning to resemble Old Mother Hubbards Cupboards! When we got there I reached into the back seat to lift Jude's car seat out. I guess I opened my mouth when I lifted the seat because the next sound out of my body was a yelp of pain. My jaw suddenly locked in place, and there was sharp… Continue

23 Weeks Already?

This is the fastest pregnancy ever. OK, I'm exaggerating, but it just felt like I was pregnant with the twins for maybe six or seven years. OK, I'm still exaggerating, which I am prone to by the way, but I can't believe in just a few days we reach viability.

This morning I went for my 'free' ultrasound. It had better be free because it only lasted about 10 minutes and there was no real measuring or scanning of the baby. Just a few quick shots for the video. The heartbeat was 146 BPM… Continue

Gymboree Visa Doubles Their Referral Bonuses!

Well, this is probably the first time I felt joy and excitement upon opening a credit card statement. I just learned that my Gymboree Visa card is now offering $20 store credits as bonuses to new cardmembers and the person that refers them.

I love this card because they give you 1% back in gymbo credit on all your purchases and a 5% discount on your Gymbo purchases online and in the store. I've also used this card to transfer a balance and take advantage of a 2.9% interest… Continue

Be the Little Red Hen!

Remember the story of the Little Red Hen? She wanted a loaf of bread. To get the loaf of bread it was going to take a lot of work. Planting the wheat. Harvesting the wheat. Grinding the wheat. Baking the bread. It was not easy to do.

She asked for help. She asked a lot of animals for help. No one was willing to do the work. But she still wanted that loaf of bread. So she did all the work all by herself. And, then, when she had the bread,… Continue

This looks eerily familar!

This looks just like MMB. Am I on MMB or mommy bloggers? I know it's by the same network Ning but hmmm this is strange. I thought I was a part of Mom logic.

Oh well. I am a preemie blogger. Started a blog in October 2008. Didn't see the point and then I had a epiphany and decided to do it FULLTIME. Well, as full as I can get it. I still am a mother, wife, friend, sister.

Looks cool. Hope I can start making friends so we can start hanging out in the "bloggy" world together!

Happy… Continue
