A funny video!

We found out by accident the other day that our pug, Chloe loves to run on the treadmill. She jumped on with me one day, and she found out she loves it. She begs at least once a day for us to start it up so she can run! Check it out!!!

Balls and Umbrellas

It’s Saturday afternoon and I get a frantic phone call from Heels.
“Do you have a minute?”
I glance over at Buddha who is dangerously perched on the coffee table.
“Sure... is everything okay?”
I’ve become accustomed to asking this question the moment I hear Heels’ voice. Ever since she got engaged last Christmas there has been flower drama, sister drama, hair drama and even shoe insert drama (“If I use my Dr. Scholls inserts my Manolos don’t…

Quick breakfast in Trastevere

Last saturday morning I went downstairs to walk little dog Cicco (pronunciation: Cheekko).

I normally just go around the block during these last weeks of pregnancy.

The heat is too much for me to walk a lot.

My belly is heavy and I easily get out of breath.

Anyway,

we started by walking along the church downstairs:…

Restructuring

This is the week.

The week that this job ends and everything will change. Even if I maintain a job within the company -  this week, I will drive my last commute to the office, I will have my last out of the house lunch hour. Even if I stay, everything will change.

Sometimes, kids force you to have fun

I had plans for today, and they weren't particularly festive ones.

We'd just returned from vacation, and there were three piles of laundry waiting their turn for the machine.

I had some online work to do, as well, and I noticed as I carried my coffee to the computer that the weekend of rain had turned my little garden into a bed of weeds. Today's sunny afternoon would be a great time to fix that.

But I didn't count on the pool. And the kids. Today was the first weekend our…

Coming Soon: News, Reviews and Maybe Shoes!

Hi Everyone!
Well, it's been beyond fun writing this blog.
When I first started it a few months back, I wasn't sure of what the commitment would entail, and to be honest, I didn't really know what I was getting into. Really, I was looking for an outlet to express my thoughts related to my crazy life parenting my kids and working outside the home.http://bit.ly/iNI5PO

A Sugar With Health Benefits? Yes, there is one.

Yep, after a lot of research I figured out the best, and actually health-beneficial, sweetener to use: Xylitol. I'm comparing all the sweeteners and tell you the many health benefits of it here:

Common Sense Religion

I grew up the opposite of Stacey (Or insert cute blogging pseudonym). My family is extremely religious. My Parents started out as Baptists and swapped over to non-denominational Christians. Don’t confuse non-denominational with non-religious though. We went to church every Sunday and then some. My parents were deacons and treasurers and bulletin writers and other assorted volunteer positions. My parents were Gideons and all that that entails. I went to Sunday School until I taught it. I went…

I Need A Drink!

Well, another Holiday and nothing, absolutely nothing but sitting in the ac,the three little one's are once again having an "I can't keep my hands to myself day", and me,  I'm writing. That's right, I decided I can not and will not play the part of 'playground' lady.  I missed out on too many activities itercepting fists, feet and toy cars and I've had it. I was enlightened by my 22 yo daughter who is my right hand man,…

The Last Song - Movie Review

Are you a fan of Miley Cyrus? I will admit she hasn't been high up on my list of favorite actors. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact my children watched every Hannah Montana episode five times each. Drove me batty. But how many parents and kids actually enjoy the same things, at least while the kids are younger than 18? I know I had favorite actors when I was a kid that my parents never understood. It's the parent/child phenomenon called "I can't possibly like what they like!" But my… Continue
