Probably the best news I've had for a very long time came by way of an email the other day, when I was informed about the Education Authority's agreement to transfer Amy to a specialised school. I read the email a few times just in case I'd read it wrong, but it was there in black and white, the decision so very much needed made by the powers-that-be to go ahead and arrange the transition.

Not too long ago, the Hubs quit his job and for the better part of a year took to our couch and hung out. Dishes were still unwashed, laundry was still undone, and the bills were still unpaid. While I worked two jobs Monday - Saturday from 7 AM until 9 PM each day, he watched a lot of TV, played a lot of video games and hung out with his other friends that had no jobs.

When I first started this blog, I posed the question as to whether "having it all" was really possible. Like all of us, I'm still trying to figure that out, though I must say that the answer is not tipping on the positive side. http://bit.ly/ik2H88

"The worst thing one can do is not to try, to be aware of what one wants and not give in to it, to spend years in silent hurt wondering if something could have materialized - never knowing".

On a completely unrelated to food note! Sometimes you meet a random stranger and something about them really makes an impact on you. I was at the swimming pool this morning with some of the kids, and sitting next to me in the spa pool was the loveliest man. He was there with his 12-year old son, who was severely autistic. This gentleman looked so happy and relaxed, was incredibly chatty and very happy to tell me all about himself and his boy, Sanji.
Sanji is about 5'8", and a similar…Continue
