It’s July 2010 and I’m just about to get on a plane to Sydney when I realize that once again, there is a sore on my leg which is infected. This is the fourth lot of infected eczema I’ve had since April. Two days later, having soldiered on through two days of meetings and trainings and bled all over hotel sheets, I’m flying back to NZ, my entire lower body covered with boil like pustules. I can’t walk without pain, my winter boots have pressed on two particularly nasty sores around my ankles…Continue

Right now soldiers are half-way around the world fighting for our right to sit on our butts and eat bon-bons while watching reality TV shows that are anything but reality. They take up their sword (weapon) every day to fight for my freedom to live a complacent life. And I’m complaining about how hard it is to say “No” to an extra piece of pie or one more serving of pasta. Wow. . . . Shame on me!
To read entire blog post…Continue

Okay, so last week my sixth child was successfully potty trained, right before he turned 3. The big deal? This was the 3rd attempt at it, my attempt; you see it's not that Adam failed the previous times, I his mother who trained 5 before him and had 3 trained by 2, was too tired to stick with the process. He's not the first child to be a delayed potty trainer, his 2 older sisters( my younger girls) were completely toilet…Continue
