OK, it's getting down to the wire here. I am reposting about the fundraiser for my Big Bro. I know times are, well, pretty sucky right now. I get that, but if I can get 300… Continue

Wow busy week! Finished getting the website up for “The Jerusalem Stone” which is a unique gift from the Holy City of Jerusalem!
And then two days at the Affilicon
Conference ( good speakers, lots of networking, and of course good food).
So for the next few posts I am going to let you in on all the tools and tips that I heard, wrote down, and checked out over the past 48 hours. Lots of… Continue

I like to share this video, specially after all the things that we, as a family, had witness in the last couple of weeks.
Think Family was established in May 2006 to be a champion and advocate for the Singaporean family. They are passionate about anything and everything that makes Singapore a great place for their children to play and grow, for couples to establish homes, and for parents to enjoy their children and… Continue

Well as I promised I will share my experience of taking 3year old and 2year old swimming on Monday.
I have always been a water baby myself, when I was little it would take all my parents effort to drag me out of a swimming pool kicking and screaming, I used to love it that much. I got all my swimming badges and lifesaving awards and I loved it! I want to pass my love of water on to my girls so I bought them both swimsuits, arm bands and goggles and informed them we were going… Continue

21 ways to enjoy being a mom
1. When you're tired, hand your kids a brush, point to your head, and tell them to play beauty parlor. When you're really tired, pretend that you're Sleeping Beauty.
2. Take your mother to a spa. While you're both getting seaweed wraps, tell her all your favorite memories of growing up.
3. Take a bath with your infant. Make sure your husband is around for the handoff, so you can relax until the last minute. (Don't forget to smell your baby right… Continue

You sometimes forget how much of a blessing friends are until you have to really be there for them and see how strong your love and dedication can carry you. A very good friend of mine had a miscarriage and it seems like it was a loss for all of us. We all spent the night with her to comfort and console her, but to me, there's not enough hugs, hand-holding or words to make it better. This is one we're going to have to leave to God because only he can use hurt to heal. Please pray for us.… Continue

Time seems to be flying by. The babies are growing up - 2.5 year old and almost an 11 month old kids. I have to start thinking about me again and what I want for myself in the future. I would love a career but right now though the job market is in a horrible place. Is anyone else wondering what their future holds?
It's always been my wish to work for myself but should I do this with small businesses and big businesses suffering.
It's not all doom and gloom. I know I will look back -… Continue

I am exhausted. I have hardly slept in days and somehow I have managed to keep my sanity, although it is slowly leaving me. I am managing to keep my house clean, thanks to my checklists, but at this point, I could really care less. My husband isn't much of a help right now, he acts like he's the one staying home all day with the kids and etc.
I go back to work next week. Thank God I only teach Water Aerobics and it's for an hour in the morning. Luckily for me, once I get in the… Continue

Anyone who’s married knows it’s possible to love someone and hate them at the same time. Angelina has that effect on you. You admire her altruistic urge to share her millions with underprivileged kids (well, three to be exact) yet you can’t help but hate her smug pneumatic pout. “Look at me,” she screams from the front pages of the gossip magz, “I’m so great, Brad thinks I’m so great - and I care, too.” But the thing that puzzles you, is just how does the six-kids-high-octane-movie-career thing… Continue

Let me just start out by saying that I hate exercise! I am not one of those people that will talk about the Endorphin rush, mental clarity, or sense of accomplishment that comes from a difficult work out. For me, exercise is a necessary evil - a means to an end, kind of like bikini waxing and childbirth. Exercise is just one more thing on a already long list of chores that needs to be done everyday - it ranks right after locating and cleaning up the unknown smell in my mini van and right before… Continue

E started his new daycare today. I have been telling him all week he would be starting a new school. I had been telling him he would finally be able to go outside and play. I had been hopeful. I knew there would be tears though. I mean after all he does cry so hard he throws up when we leave him at nursery on Sunday's.
Nope, not even a flinch from his upper lip. Not even a single shimmer of a tear in the corner of his eye. Nothing.
Can I tell you this? I feel jipped. Really I do. I… Continue

If you commented on the Name Game blog entry, keep watch on Caitlin’s “Mabel Files” (www.blog.mabel.ca) where she will soon be posting the winner of the Camp Pack. Caitlin takes care of all the official stuff and I get to have the blogging fun. Heck, I’m on maternity leave so it seems fair that I run the contest and someone else worries about monitoring entries, wouldn’t you say?
Although I’m on mat leave, I have not fallen off the… Continue

I am feeling so much pressure to join Facebook. But I am reluctant for so many reasons. Some having to do with the CIA (I am, after all, the President of the Paranoid Club!) and some having to do with the fact that I still view it primarily as a forum for young adults and high schoolers.
I feel it belongs to my children. Facebook was new when my two oldest went off to college. I still feel that it is theirs and that I would be infringing. I think it's great for other adults. I am… Continue
