Yesterday was great! I received a nice email from a very happy member/customer.
She's is probably http://www.mykidsregistry.com/ biggest fan. Her daughter's birthday is coming up and she used used our einvite function to invite party guests, she created a wish list and ordered her party supplies through http://www.birthdayinabox.com/. She saved a tree and saved gas & time by ordering party supplies. Sharing her daughters wishes through a wish list was just an added… Continue

Why Can't Men Say, "Ow?"
"Ow. That hurts. I'm in pain." These are a few things my husband will never say. After a snowboarding mishap he blacked out, woke and noticed it hurt when his friend kept jabbing him in the stomach. He googled his symptoms and figured he was bleeding internally and he may have ruptured his spleen. Did he call an ambulance? Did he say, "Oh, shit."? No. He went to McDonald's. Then the hospital where the doctors freaked out and tended to him STAT. He still did… Continue

I went to my first Kenny Chesney concert Tuesday night and had the best time. I even got my first concert t-shirt.ever. It was such a blast and I have my husband to thank for getting the tickets. They were a Mothers Day/Birthday present (and probably Anniversary/Christmas if he thinks of it). He’s not a fan of country music and it meant a lot that he got the tickets and took me to the concert and bought me the t-shirt with the big picture of… Continue

Cosmetics are a billion dollar industry. We as women, spend money, energy and time on how we look. The old adage that men have it easy is no more.
Mineral make up is popular, because it is easy, less messy, and has a longer shelf life then most liquid foundations or makeup. It helps those with oily skin, acne prone skin, or sensitive skin because it is minerals, and not all chemicals or additives. Some mineral makeup has the spf to protect from the sun too.
Women like mineral makeup… Continue

I have never been more used..in a good way! Earlier this week my daughter had earned a free pizza. So, I take her in to get it and while we are waiting for our order I balance my check book. The lady waiting on us brings me a drink. After i pay bills, I thank God that I have enough money to pay bills and some… Continue

So, only to me can this kind of week happen..What kind of week is that? Well, a week that is filled with sadness, excitement, prayer and pain killers..lol
Tomorrow is a day that I will soon not forget..at least once Im off the pain killers that is. Tomorrow is the day that my babies are being made. Finding a good music teacher can be a rough go. They don't usually list in the Yellow Pages. I had a couple of crummy music teachers when I was a kid. I also had some really good ones. So far, I've been pleased with the instructors I've chosen for my kids.
If you're considering music lessons for your youngster, here are some tips
that may help you along.

A child died today.
A funny little boy with an abundance of freckles and a unique way of pronouncing his r’s. A boy with an infectious smile and a love of Poke’mon and video games. He was a son, brother, friend, loved by many, missed by all.
World, you have no idea what you’ve missed out on! No concept of what you’ve lost. He left behind unlived dreams, unfulfilled potential. He leaves the memory of laughter, a history of strength, and the legacy of a… Continue

Laura Fraser knows best. Really. She's an expert on books, writing, food, fashion, Italy, San Francisco, the list goes on. Her book, An Italian Affair, is one of my favorite memoirs ever written. It chronicles her journey to Italy after being left by her husband after one year of marriage. Eat, Pray, Love (I continue to dis on this book, sorry) has nothing on this.
Here's what Laura has to say about her latest reads...
"I read Jane Smiley's Ten Days in the Hills and had a very… Continue

Well, here I am, alone, I have the living room all to myself. No one needs anything, nobody will be calling my name. They are all in bed. Another day over. There is nothing on t.v. to watch, and I refuse to do any cleaning after 8pm. That’s when I clock out. Although, I don’t mind doing laundry at night, that’s okay. But anyways, I bought a work out bench a few months ago, right around the time I quit smoking again for the millionth time. Actually I wasn’t smoking full-time, but I was having… Continue

It's been a week since my Dr visit so now I have to have a 2nd ultrasound because I wasn't far enough along with the first one to detect anything but the fetal sac. I'm nervous, I want everything to be ok, I have to keep telling myself that I was too early and I've had 4 viable pregnancies and my HCG levels must be rising because everyday I get new pregnancy symptoms to add to the ones that I already have. My breasts are extremely tender, it hurts just to roll over in the bed and let them… Continue

Ok blogging is new to me so where do I start? Life today was boring, I went to work came home to a active 6 year old granddaughter. Who wants me to jump in the pool as soon as I get home. Which I do and you would think with all this exercise, I would lose about 10 lbs already. NOT!!
Hubby is playing on the pc as usual. Hes a very good husband, cooks and cleans when I ask him to. Just wish he would spend more time with me. But if he did that, I would probably get annoyed cause I like… Continue

Great expectations not always timely
Sometimes with childbirth, the real labor part comes at the beginning and not the end
By LESLIE DINABERG
Driving across town with a vial of my husband’s freshly spun sperm staying warm beneath my blouse, I thought, “I must really want to have a baby.”
After almost three years of trying to conceive, I would have hopped down State Street on stilts and squawked like a chicken if I thought… Continue

Well, it happened. Yesterday was the big day.
I turned 40.
I am so relieved it's over. WHEW! I love everyone's birthday but my own.
I woke up today completely exhausted. Last night was an insomniac night. Couldn't fall asleep until 4:00 am. Was it because I was freaking out that I was 40! NAH...just one of those nights.
Please - I know - I am dying today. Thankfully Nana came to the rescue and took B for the day and princess is fast… Continue
