We had an awesome time visiting family that was 8 hours away. But it was so fun. I'm so glad my kids, especially my daughter, got to see and hang out with her grandparents and aunts and uncles. We don't have another trip planned until Christmas, but hopefully both sets of grandparents can make a trip out here this fall.
Check out more pics on my blog!

I've been in organizing mode lately. It happens every summer, because that's when I finally have the time to go through all the closets and cupboards and clean out all the stuff- papers, clutter, old clothes. This week I came across a stack of recipes that I'd lost track of. I have recipe clippings all over the house. I finally got to a point where I had to cancel my food… Continue

I bought myself a Mommy Vehicle 2 years ago. A nicely equipped official Mommy SUV. It was the the biggest thing I’d ever purchased by and for myself. Figured it would be perfect for hauling my son and his friends and all their bikes, skateboards, beach chairs, football equipment, etc.
I’m not the neatest person in the world. I openly admit this. And yes I have an extra pair of shoes in that SUV as well as a couple of magazines and a half empty (or half full) bottle of Poland Springs… Continue

I like to believe that at Mom Fuse are all about helping moms, usually we post topics and articles on different parenting related issues but this post is more special and dear to me than any post I’ve ever done.
Recently a good friend of ours was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and their family is in desperate need of some financial assistance. She was employed as a nurse and brought in most of the money but she’s recently had to quit her job because of the cancer. Now that… Continue

I love summer- especially when it comes to putting meals on the table. It's been so easy now that I have time to shop for delicious food at the Farmer's Markets and everything is just so wonderful! Those stuffed squash blossoms are making weekly appearances on our dinner plates-
I made this batch after picking up a few from the Culinary Institute's gardens at the St. Helena… Continue

Well, it's just a typical monday in the tucker family. John went to work this morning and I got the kids up and fed them and dressed them and then I got to work on cleaning the house. It rained alot this afternoon which was so nice because it hasn't rained for weeks here but now i have a feeling we are going to go from no rain to rain everyday but that is ok. I am sitting here watching army wives which is my favorite show on tv. It's so addictive and the kids are getting settled down for the… Continue

I started painting my bathroom. Abby said. Mom I need to help. I am an artist ya know. I replied with, yes I know. That Is why I am painting. I am covering up all your pretty art. That away the bathroom will be one color. I am covering up all your artistic work that was done with my lipstick, my eyeshadow, my eyeliner, the markers and the toothpaste. She kept wanting to help. I gave her a small paint brush and one small section of a wall that I could… Continue

As some of you know, my oldest kid has autism. We take this autism stuff pretty seriously and as a result he has made remarkable gains. Indeed, to the untrained eye he is indistinguishable from his neuro-typical peers.
Last weekend four of the kiddos did a triathlon. When “Number One Son” finished the running component too early, it was obvious he got confused somewhere along the way. Turns out he went around the wrong pylon cutting the run short.
That evening my… Continue

Have you ever been told you have a bad attitude? I have. While I was not sure if the person’s assessment of me was correct—I’d never been told that—I did take some time to ponder over the criticism.
What causes one to have a bad attitude? Can it be fixed? How can I guarantee that I will always project a good attitude?
What I found is that there are a myriad of things which causes us to have poor attitudes: the lack of money, too much… Continue

You know my husband and my kids are my whole life. I couldn't imagine my life without them. The love I have for them is stronger than anything I have ever felt before in my life. I can't explain it and before they came along I have never had a feeling so strong. My husband is a loving, affectionate wonderful husband and father whom I adore and my kids are just my pride and joy. They make me laugh, smile and definitely keep me on my toes. The power of loving someone and to be love its the most… Continue

My little man broke his foot. Running and playing outside. Gabby for some reason decided to push him. When she did, he fell. The way he landed it broke. Since Mason is as tall as I am its hard to carry him. He had to go to the doctor to get an x-ray. So my step dad had a walker from his knee surgery he loaned us. It was quite a sight seeing him with this walker that you see older people using. When we went to the orthopedic doctor for his cast. The doctors office is by a big hospital. We had to… Continue

I never thought the day would come, the when both my children play with one another. My son who has autism and my daughter has CRS, two different forms of disabilities, how could they meet in the center and play. They knew each other was there but did not play one on one. I used to sit with both of them and use hand over hand and make them play together. I would always be there helping them play together. Then one day out of the blue he walked… Continue
