Baking Day
So, a couple of weeks ago I was really ambitious and did a bunch of baking all in one day.
So here's what I did:
Two batches of Bagels
Two batches of English muffins
a batch of pop tarts.
Everything turned out GREAT. Below are the links to the recipes I used for the…

My Thirsties Cloth Diaper Story
I want to start by saying that I was not asked or paid to post this. I have never posted a review before, and I am not sure this constitutes as a review so much as a an applause for some of the best customer service I have ever received.
Let me also say that having worked in customer service for many years, and having gone…

It's Taking Over My Life!
They say people spend about 30 hours a week online, playing games, on Facebook and Twitter, reading, researching...
That's nearly 4 1/2 hours a day. And besides what people do for work. Many spend their entire 8-hour workday on the computer.
In fact, for many social media has become a work distraction and many work…

Flashbacks of a Fool - Movie Review
Question: Do you receive recommendations to see a movie and most of the time you wonder what people saw in the movie that made them like it? Yes, I know I review and recommend movies all the time so maybe just ignore this question. I am still flustered over a movie I just finished viewing on Netflix: Flashbacks of a Fool.
Anyway, I wasn't going to review this movie because it hit me hard. I am still trying to figure out…

Latest post is called The Grocery Store Meltdown. It's a question I've addressed a lot lately. Feel free to agree or disagree with my assessment! What do moms do to deal with/prevent meldowns from children in a grocery store?

Dear Littlest Monkey,
I love you so much! You are, by far, my squishiest, squeeziest, cuddliest baby I’ve had. ”The others” were cuddly, but not nearly as squishy and squeezy. I have to be honest with you though. You are the baby of the family, and because of that, you are being treated differently. Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes it’s not. But as your mother, I feel like it’s my job to be honest with you (and to pay for your therapy later.)
First of all, there’s baths.…

I Want To Be Like Martha When I Grow Up
I’ve always been a little skeptical of Martha Stewart, and her “It’s a good thing” philosophy of life. If it takes seven hours to make clear turkey gravy, I don’t consider it a good thing.
She always seems to be in control of everything and she can cook three meals a day, spend hours in her garden, work with her horses, bake wedding cakes, then host a weekend party for 30, without breaking a sweat.

Is it grumpy in here, or is it just me?
I wasn't going to write this. I was going to write a "look how much fun we had on vacation" post, but it was not meant to be.
I'm going to give some people...ahem...women...the benefit of the doubt here and blame it on the heat scrambling their brains.
I have a few thoughts I need to get out for a select group of people.

Maria's Random Rants - The Price We Pay
The dictionary defines guilt as “a feeling of responsibility or remorse for some offense, crime, or wrong, whether real or imagined.” Real or imagined, that sounds about right. Might even be more accurate, at least helpful, if they added a footnote, “Warning: Duration of guilt known to last several years. Atonement not guaranteed.” Now that’s the kind of guilt I know. Come to think of it, I didn’t know there was another kind.
It’s taken me a while, but I’m fairly proud of…

Interview with David Loeff, author of Graphics Essentials for Small Offices
Are looking for a graphic designer who does not cost a small fortune? If you answered yes, read the interview below.
Recently I attended a writers' critique session in my home town of Denver Colorado. While there I met David Loeff. I
was immediately impressed with his knowledge of graphic design. I am very happy David agreed to let me interview him and learn about his newly published book on graphic designs.
Can you please tell the readers…
