The Camp Chronicles

Sending your ten year old off to sleep away camp for the first time is rather comparable to a new pregnancy. After all, everyone has advice both good and bad, most people think they know more than you, and anticipation, doubt and nervousness are the emotions du jour. Throw in weight gain, breakouts, sleeplessness and lethargy, and I could be pregnant, or I’m just reacting to a difficult transition (trust me…it’s option #2. Mad About Melons

As I have mentioned numerous times, I have a rather large garden this summer.  Besides growing tomatoes, cucumbers, corn and basil, a quarter of my garden is being taken over by watermelon.  A small part of the watermelon patch was planned, but the rest is all due to volunteerism.

Catching Up With Life

I spent the weekend at my mum's. Just needed to catch up with family and friends after nearly two years of not being able to go anywhere. Now that I've been I feel better but when I arrived on Friday afternoon, all I could think about was going home again. I have to admit it's been a very enjoyable weekend.
