Flotsam and Jetsam

Once we became parents, my husband and I noticed that our relationship to pools had changed. This summer, we’ve had a total of three hours of poolside relaxation on a weekend getaway (not without its own hiccups, of course. See “Livin’ the Dream.”)…

Business | Why You Aren't Making Any Money

I've been contemplating on why so many people aren't making the money they truly desire. They have this limiting belief that everything and everyone is a scam and they will lose more. That's what  those who are achieving and making money want you to believe (the greedy ones that is). They don't want to share the success and happiness and they too are afraid of not enough money to spread around.

Fear is a horrible way to live and it wouldn't be right to not live your life to the…

Our Next Leg - Weeks 9-11

Hello MBC'ers!  My daughter, Dylan, suffered a severe asthma attack and seizures this Mother's Day (May 13th).  She was without oxygen for quite some time and now is battling brain damage.  The focus of my blog is now on the next leg of our journey....

These last few weeks have been rough.  Other words that come to mind to describe it are shitty, unbearable, exhausting and nerve-racking.  Dylan has been dealing with seizures and brainstorming (which means she had…

Baby Book 2

There it is. Amid the pile of 'Stuff I'll Get Round To Shortly'. You can just see it, peeping out from beneath the unwritten Christening 'Thank You' cards that should have gone out in April.

Let's have a look inside it. Yep. Untouched since that February post.

This is the scavenger list I made and printed out for the girls.  We had so much fun at the zoo.  We were there for 5 hours and pretty much saw it all!  Below is a picture of the scavenger hunt…

The "end" of summer ! It's still so hot !! Reflections on Summer

Hello Everyone ! The school year is back in full swing ! And I am happy to report that I have started my kids in a routine of chores ! Daily, they are responsible for making their beds, getting dressed, cleaning up after they eat...Once a week they dust their room and pick up toys in their room. They each get a small allowance for doing so. I had to stop myself this morning from bringing my son's clothes downstairs for him to change before school and instead went downstairs and told him to…
