Gray Hair?!

Today I was talking with my co-worker about running the kids around. She was like, "if I had to run back and forth like that to get the kids I would have gray hair". I said "you know what, I do have gray hair!" I am gently reminded everytime I do my hair and they peak out to say "hello, I'm here"..LOL! I am not even 35 yet. I thought that gray hair was a result of stress, but after some research there seems to be a few contributing factors: age, genetics and diet (lack of vitamin B12). So it is… Continue

Performance Review

My husband has his performance review today. We hope it is good and that the fact that he is actively being "shopped" by two other companies will be reflected in his results. As I anxiously await the phone call telling me how much extra I will have to blow on something we probably don't need, I am curious as to what my performance review would be.

I won't ever, in my lifetime, ask my husband to actually give me one because, let's face it, no matter how well I am really doing, there… Continue

The Bathroom Challenge

Accountability ~ To account for one's actions.

I HATE, no I LOATH having to clean the Superboy's (they are NOT Super when they pee on a seat!) bathroom. I know that compared to most boy's bathrooms theirs is clean. Because I clean it almost everyday!

I honestly think I might throw up if it went more than two days… Continue

Dressed Down Day? OK!

I am a full believer that how you present yourself physically is a

reflection of who you are and how you feel about yourself. I dress the

way I dress and I apply my make up because it makes me feel good. I also

dressed the way I dressed and applied my make up because I thought that

was what Kevin liked, too. I do ultimately dress myself FOR myself but I

have to say I do like dressing for my man, too. There is no man on this

planet that I care about looking good for… Continue

Rain, Rain Go Away.

After Payden went down for a nap this morning the sun peeked through the clouds for a bit so the girls and I went out to play. I saw a foal and her mommy hanging around the fence so we went out to see them. It

was fun because the foal was rather curious about my girls…they are like

miniature humans with squealing voices. The foal would walk up and try

to figure them out and they would run back to me screaming away like it

was going to eat them alive. Most the time the…

Caramel Apple Bread Bake with a Brandy Cream Sauce

Do you ever have one of those days? You know the one; you wake up late, rush around to get everyone ready for school, forget to eat breakfast yourself, get everyone strapped into their car seats, go back in to the house to grab the keys….. only they’re nowhere to be found. So, trying not to panic you start slowly looking around the

house in all the hiding spots that come to mind. When no keys turn up and you’re now officially going to be late to school drop off, you begin to…

The King's Christmas List by Eldon Johnson

I was so excited to review my first book ‘The King’s Christmas’ by Eldon Johnson. This book is about a little girl name Emma and her dog Shu-Shu who were invited to the King’s birthday party – His royal Christmas celebration. Emma was so thrilled to be invited that she decided to bring a gift to give to the King. On their way Emma met people who were in need. She stops to offer them what she had with her and continued her journey to…

Drive By

Then I observed that the basic motive for success is the driving force of envy and jealousy, Ecclesiastes 4:4...motivated

by what we see...others strive to be. Not everyone is meant to be...the

president of a nation or high profile celebrity. Yes, they are fine

examples of what, with hard work you could aspire to be...but first know

there must be an implanted seed. Self motivated desire must

proceed...be… Continue

My Super Cleaning Schedule

I try very hard to make every Saturday & Sunday a 'cleaning rest day.' To me ... my house is a mess on the weekends )o: I have learned over the last 5 years that I cannot keep my house clean when Superdad is home. If I clean the kitchen, he is there 5 minutes later making a sandwich. If I clean the bathroom, he is in there as soon as I shut the…

Why The Hate All Of a Sudden?

I have been blogging since June 2009 and I have heard of blogger's being mean to one another and I have heard of blog "drama". I couldn't believe that people were being so rude to

one another and I was happy that I wasn't apart of any of it. Well in

the last month I have had a couple of experiences now and I cannot

believe how rude people can be, for no reason at all.…

Behold the Daughter of the King: Memories of a Mom

My mother lived what could be called an ordinary life. She travelled when young, then settled down with a family, involved herself in the lives of her children and friends, and enjoyed a brief retirement. Her main interests were her faith and her family. She served at church, helped at the hospital and supported causes like Alzheimer’s awareness, missions, and hospice care. She wasn’t a leader outside our home, she wasn’t loud, she could be depended on to help but she wasn’t the focus of…
