Well, this is a test ... :o)
I'm a newbie and really loving this community. It's so nice to find groups of Mom's that are interested in the same things I am ... nice to know I'm not "going it alone" as they say!
Have a great day and God Bless!

For those of you not aware...moms are now building businesses at an amazing rate. Some are small ventures, others are large, but one thing is for sure...moms are becoming more creative and more determined to work for themselves.
Though it's next to impossible to find statistics to measure the economic impact, we know that more people than ever are working from home. (US Census). And we know that 75% of moms work. (US Bureau of Labor… Continue

I went into my inbox this morning to check the emails that I neglected over the weekend - let's just say it was one of "those" weekends - and I was really hoping for something that would cheer me up a bit.
I noticed I had an email from my friend Kristen of La Dolce Vita and the subject line read "Featured Reader." Featured? Moi? Love it!
Kristin contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I would do an interview. Now the answers are posted and I'm feeling a nice boost of… Continue

Ashley and her friend, Danny went to a harvest party last night. They almost won the cutest couple, but the judges gave 1st place to the smaller kids that were there. It took us hours to find their costumes and then we had to go to five stores just to find Danny some flip flops. It was easy to find women's, but men's flip flops are rare this time of year.
The boys are at their dad's house this weekend and I have had a really bad two… Continue

I love the fair!
The sounds, the smells, the crowds of people.
Normally, I don't do crowds well, but the fair is different.
Little kids, eyes bright, the look of wonder on their faces.
Teen-agers, free for the night, screaming on rides just for the sake of screaming, circles of friends circling the midway full of laughter and adventure.
We had a great time! Mary… Continue

No, I'm not talking Janet-style (Miss Jackson if you're nasty) although she may have been on to something. I'm talking about how much simpler life would be if we could just nurse our babies through high school. I was reminiscing with one of my close girlfriends today about breast feeding our sweet babies and how they're growing up too quickly. It was so much easier to "parent" my girls when I was nursing them. If they fell down and got a boo-boo, couldn't sleep, were having a bad day, got a… Continue

Wow, how many of you were stuck inside today. Way to many by the sound of Twitter today. The girls were supposed to go to Dad's but didn't so we had a long and crazy day, of course, documented over on my blog with some general nutty pics.

Just a reminder as October is nearing an end. This is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Remember to do your self exam, schedule your mammogram and make an appointment for your clinical exam (Dr. exam).

So being a new Blogger, has had it's share of challenges....to be sure....maybe it's because I am really my own worst critic when it comes to my writing. Why do I always tend to feel like I'm writing the piece for my highschool or college English teacher....so I analize and over analize...I publish...then edit...then publish again....ARGGHH....
I read this snifty little article about how to be a better blogger.....how it should be the quality… Continue

I recently read an article about a 10 year old boy who is a bull fighting prodigy. He is from Mexico and is currently traveling in France partaking in non-professional demonstrations in bullfighting schools. In France, the approved age for bull fighters is sixteen. Due to the age gap, the boy’s involvement has resulted in a canceled appearance and has sparked massive debate about the dangers he faces in the ring.
His parents, who both support his… Continue

As you know, when I find something good, I sing like a canary. I simply can’t hold back. This is a twofer, a 2 in 1; hits my professional and my personal side. Drumroll…it’s a stroller.
I love when people do it RIGHT.
