I was thinking, "Gosh.. pastor is around... so were other professional musicians among those present for the…

Imagination

This is the story that Z told me about she arrived in our family.

"I once was a baby lion and I lived in Ireland. My momma lion loved me very much and would lick my forehead all the time. I never really saw the daddy lion, but he was big and strong."

From Urban to Suburban

Comfortably I rock untied Adidas Top Ten's, I listen to my music absurdly loud, I wear tiny tight T-shirts (sometimes the ones with derogatory remarks written on them) that don't hesitate to show off my belly button, my pants somtimes sag, I got a few tattoos,  I cuss relentlessly, I'm a wee bit loud and I don't reserve my feelings for any occassion (especially when I know for a fact that I'm right). I don't scare easily (coming from the inner city of Detroit, who does?), I'm extra…

Something Special

I have been so richly blessed in my life that at times I take the blessings for granted. I figure because it's something I have done or experienced that it's been the same for everyone. I Hate Musicals

I'm sure there are other people like me in the world but I haven't encountered many people who don't like
musicals.

I think my dislike of this form of entertainment started when I was young. I recall....

Puzzling Out Parables

In the Parable of the Tenants in Matthew 21: 33 – 46 Jesus

continues to speak to the chief priests and elders and Pharisees pulling them

into another story where they again make a quick judgment and incriminate

themselves. These leaders are familiar with the way the parable opens: there is

a landowner, a vineyard, a wall, a winepress and a watchtower. If you read

Isaiah 5: 1 – 7 you can get into the heads of these men and know what they

know. The same…
