My Divorce: A New Kind of Motherhood

Three months ago my husband moved out.  Two months ago, I filed papers for a divorce.  One month ago, I spent any spare time in bed trying to wrap my head around the failure of my marriage.  And last week, I dragged myself up, put a smile on a my face and started to refocus.  And now that smile has become real.

I'll be honest, as I try to always be with you guys, I was not going to share this life changing experience on here.  The title 'Divorce' comes with preconceived notions, ideas…

Halloween Atmosphere

Our next stop is One Utama shopping mall in Petaling Jaya. Know what? I have been to this place for umpteen times already and still I don't know the way till today! My sense of direction is really hopeless when it comes to recognizing roads. Thank goodness for my good friends, we managed to come and join in the Halloween atmosphere here...…

Mgazi Thinks Hot People are Friendlier

zaff.mgazi.temperature

Zaffron was telling me about a girl at school. She's been confused, unsure if the girl likes her or not. This conversation, of course, took place in the bathroom. (The second most popular conversation venue next to the car.)

Zaffy: Mom, Mary was mean to me 2 days ago. She was mean to me ysterday. But today she was nice.

Me: Maybe she…

Come Fly With Me

I must have done something good in a past life (I am far too cynical and selfish for it to be due to anything I've done in this one) because, THANK THE LORD, The Poop slept for around three hours of the four we were in flight. Now, before I get stuck into today's moan, hear this - I'm glad she slept. I'm grateful she slept. I understand that it could have been a damned sight worse. But.

Stef G. ~ One Inspiring WAHM

Work-at-home mothers do not equate to being isolated. Well, slightly yes :)

But being able to connect with people is still very possible. There are the various social networking sites and messengers providing voice, chat and video connections. All of these, I have utilized when I started working from home.

So aside from my current friends, I have been able to gain…

Did That Wall Just Hit My Car?

I had a bad day. It started first thing. I misjudged while backing my car into a parking spot at work. Actually, to be more accurate,

I slammed my husband's brand-new electric vehicle into a wall.

The day kinda went downhill from there.…

Frankincensed

I guess my way of preparing for an emergency is to blog about it – sort of like, as I’ve previously noted, my friend Cyndi’s way of coping with a crisis is to throw a party. (See “The Norsemen Cometh.”) In fact, I hope to row over to Cyndi’s house tomorrow afternoon for one of her bashes in my Hawaiian shirt and toss back a couple of stiff Hurricanes. In the meantime, I thought I’d better post an entry…

Thank you YA BOOK BLOGGERS

I am humbly grateful to the wonderful bloggers out there who have given my latest YA thriller, SHELTERED, tremendous support by posting interviews, promo's, excerpts, links, and reviews this month.
