So, I’ve been thinking about American Idol and True Blood lately. You might remember that I recently told a gentleman that I greatly admire that he was off his rocker for allowing his young daughter to watch True Blood.
But was he?
I allow my children to watch American Idol. Which of these television shows, truly, is more…Continue

I am a mother. I am a wife. I am a professional. I have interests and hobbies. I work out sometimes. I cook at least once a week. Sorry, meant to say I cook at most once a week. But when I do, I cook multiple meals. And I don't do white starches... bonus point!
I say all this to communicate the fact that I am a busy woman. I barely have time to floss my own teeth, but I do. Because it's…Continue

One of the basic rules of working from home is to set up your office in a space where you’re not going to be distracted by all of the…distractions in your home. And while that is true, this rule is more so that you can shut out the rest of your house when you need to: the reality is that for at least part of the time when you work from home, you’re going to have to get really good at multi-tasking.
The reasoning for this is two-fold: working from home means you…Continue

Obviously there's a reason why Art Linkletter and Bill Cosby scored major benjamins off that "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" show cause, let's face it, kids blurt out some seriously funny shit, don't they?! I am always giggling at the crazy things my twins come up with, sometimes even when it's completely inappropriate for me to laugh. How can you NOT love…Continue
As of tomorrow, the bean is four weeks old. Which means mama is four weeks post-partum. Aka: I’m ready for my jeans to fit again. And technically, they do. Well, if you don’t could that muffin top and all.
Regardless of how you have a baby, you need to do some ab work to get your tummy back in whatever shape it was in prior to getting pregnant. Having a c-section increases that need for tummy toning exponentially. And since I didn’t have the greatest ab workout…Continue
Put a fork in me – I am done people! It’s not that I don’t care about the future of this great nation. I do care. It’s not that I haven’t watched all the debates. I have viewed each one. But enough already. How many times can a person listen to the same answers over and over again? It’s time to get this show on the road and vote already so I won’t have any more interruptions to my Modern Family episodes.
This is not about which side of the fence you are on, not at all. Both parties make…

Being a new mom, one thing I really lack time for these days is styling my hair. And being the girl that doesn’t want to go completely unstyled on a daily basis, I’ve quickly caught on to one of the hottest hair trends in Hollywood: jeweled headbands! The beauty of this accessory is that not only are they gorgeous when paired with cocktail attire, they’re an easy way to add some zing to an…Continue

When Beverly was a child she hated to read. Even though her eighth-grade teacher sent her poem “Stars” to a high school anthology and it was published in Young America Sings she hated to write. In spite of her rocky relationship with books, she managed to graduate from high school then attended Midwestern State…Continue

So, a few weeks ago I accidentally crushed an innocent snail and caused irreparable damage to my children. That was nothing. A couple of nights ago I killed a centipede. A 5-inch centipede that I found in my tub. I had no choice. It was…Continue

A couple of months ago I met someone that I admire greatly. A mutual friend introduced me to him. The three of us were in New York making small talk over coffee. I was doing my best to seem intelligent. I had been feeling a little all over the place and I wanted to come across as someone who was “put together”– which meant that I didn’t talk a whole heck of a lot lest the gentleman I…Continue

So I love to read and I'm pretty open minded when it comes to what I read. I've read all kinds of books but never was approached to read a bdsm book with male on male umm action?
So I took a while and said, well its still a book and I'm sure there could be a great story behind it. I went ahead and pushed that download button and got to reading. I have to say I've read a racy, heated romance but this was just so in my face. It was from the first page bam right there guy on guy…Continue

One of the things I would love to say to my 5-year-old daughter and cannot is, “Please, please, please stop drawing so many pictures.”
Georgia’s 2-year-old sister is a bit young for coloring, and her twin brother would rather dribble a basketball than put marker to paper. But Georgia is deeply entrenched in an artistic phase.
I don’t know where she gets this drive. I, myself, am not at all crafty – at least not in the Martha Stewart sense. I hate going to the…Continue

Chili and fall are pretty synonymous. But my hubby likes something more than just your average chili: he loves steak chili! And I have to admit: it’s way more delish than regular chili. Since I’m all about cooking with ease – and making meals that have melt-in-your-mouth qualities – this is yet another make in your crock pot meal that you’re going to love. LOVE. Looooooooove....Continue reading at …Continue

Jesus' impact on our world is highly unlikely, widely inescapable, largely unknown, and decidedly double-edged. It is unlikely in light of the severe limitations of his earthly life; it is…
