At last! We found a way to make great tasting vegan pizza. Thanks to food.com for the great pizza dough recipe. You can put whatever toppings you like on this pizza. We particularly like the Daiya mozzarella-like shreds. Daiya is made in a facility that is free of dairy, lactose, casein, soy and gluten. It's delicious and quite frankly the best cheese-like substitute we've found thus… Continue

I would like to issue a no complaining challenge. Even if you have a valid reason to complain, please think about the positive aspect of the situation and just don't complain. It has been about 7 days that I have been on this challenge and it feels really great. I am not a negative person but I just wanted to make sure my thoughts are as clean as my eating habits.

When you lose someone you love, Thanksgiving Day feels burdensome and painful. When a brain tumor took away our precious Katie's life I dreaded that holiday. For seven years we served no rutabagas because they were Katie's favorite vegetable. The thought of their seasonal aroma wafting through our home without her in it was too much to bear.
I don't share this part of me today to make other moms sad. I share it because you are my extended family and I am yours. We are all fellow… Continue

Teach me what I do not see, if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more, Job 34:32

ourselves as we really are.
So Lord, if I've messed up...open my eyes up...so I may see all… Continue

Ok - how bored is America?
I just saw that Bristol Palin and her partner are receiving DEATH THREATS on Dancing With the Stars?
Really? Are you kidding me?
Look - I realize that there is a ton of controversy over this woman making the finals of this show. I understand that. I, personally, think that she is as deserving as anyone to be there. I have enjoyed watching her come from a closed up, scared to death, young single mother with no idea how to dance, to a… Continue

There was a time when I felt like my life was turned upside down. I had so many obstacles coming in my direction at one time: divorce, single parent to a toddler, increased bills and less money, bankrupt business, loss of a close friendship... Wow, that takes energy just thinking about it and when all of this came crashing at me at once, I completely lost balance and damn near my sanity.
These life experiences have taught me that we all have to go through obstacles in life, but the effects… Continue
