Yep, it's that time of year again. You know, after eating, not always the best food items, and drinking, not always the best stuff, it's time to repent for our intake sins.
We always start off in January in a retrospective mode. That is, we are 'actively' mapping out how we are going to change the things in our lives we feel need changing. Usually, that is our diet and finances.
So what goes wrong and makes us have to repeat this January tradition every… Continue

New mothers can get help from many websites that offer them baby stuff giveaways
for free and it can be nice to try out some new baby products and save some expenses on your baby's basic needs. As a new mother myself to little Noah, I found it very helpful when the baby was born and it saved me more than money, it saved me a lot of time to go check baby items that would fit me and my baby.
It is very important to be comfortable with your baby as… Continue

The day of our Lord and Savior's birth (or at least the day we CELEBRATE it) is upon us, and I am feeling more than a little bit Grinchy. This should be my best Christmas so far, because it is my precious baby's first one. I certainly started the season off in the Christmas spirit, even going so far as to finish my Christmas shopping early. But to be quite honest with you, the pressure of the holiday season is really getting to me. Why is there so much to DO? I feel the weight of the… Continue

Today was a day without a storm. Yes, no storms personally nor outside.
What type of personal memories do you have from Christmas Past?
Bulkie rolls, white fish, pickled herring, seeded rye babka, kielbasa... Do these foods seem unique to you? We are Polish and we can only find some of these items on Water Street in Worcester Massachusets.
In fact today, when my husband, four of my five children and myself walked into Widolff's Bakery (a bakery I have gone into since I was two or… Continue

So I don't really know if my first 'blog', was that exactly. I don't know if I am 'blogging' right! Unsure if there's a right or wrong way. If so then I may be doing it correctly. But you never know any more.
So Is It Blogging? This is the question, although not my only question, to myself and to anyone who is bored enough to read my lame excuse of a blog.
So can you blog correctly? Am I doing it right?
I guess since I'm not exactly sure what a blog in tells,… Continue

After waiting 3 weeks I emailed the dealer once again and this time I told him I want a refund. The watch hasn't shown up and there is still no tracking information so I am left to believe nothing has been shipped. He emails me back and says to please wait while he checks with the EMS shipping company again.
I think to myself, yeah whatever. He won't respond. I'll wait till the morning, then I'll file my paypal dispute as planned. I get up, check my email, and low and behold there is… Continue

I recently just had the chance to review My First Percussion Instruments made by Little First Act Discovery (age appropriate for 6 months and up). Having a musical background, I can certainly appreciate any toy to further a child’s discovery of music. This toy also furthers the development of coordination which is also important to baby’s development.… Continue

1. We are grateful for those days during winter break when we can get little things done around the house.
2. We are grateful for the tracks of wet/muddy shoes and paw prints that emerge through our entryway.
3. We are grateful for the happiness that we feel from the aroma of an $8 candle
4. We are grateful for the moments we enjoyed baking cookies despite the fact that we will be dieting them off soon.
5. We are grateful… Continue

Our family visited friends over the weekend and we made cookies for her husbands friends at work. They all work in the emergency room at a local hospital and will be working on CHRISTmas day. So all our munchkins got together and made dozens of cookies to make the day more festive for them. Look at all the sugar on those bad boys! They are going to have a sugar rush off of just one bite!
The munchkins had a blast over at her house… Continue

I've been wanting to go to college for... well ever! So now I've actually put my butt in motion and got on the college ball. Since I'm a mommy to a toddler, it's not the easiest thing to do. But I decided to do it. So I went to Everest, to see what's going on and what I should do and start etc. So they gave me some info on what I need to do.
Then I started thinking.... Why don't I go to Community College?? It's accredited more and is just wayy better. So I filled out an application… Continue

I took it upon myself to start a blog to keep my husband's company name fresh in search engines -
but I am not sure how to get the "right" people looking at it.
who are the right people? people who know what the product is and have contacts - my networking is amongst women and mostly moms and a lot of artists and crafters - he needs computer geeks, specifically SAP geeks, paying attention...

As a part of this blog, I would like to start incorporating product reviews. Being frugal with money doesn't necessarily mean making everything by hand and scraping by. It means being smart with your money. If a family needs to come out some money for an excellent product that serves to be useful and doesn't need to be replaced often, that's ok. I would like to pass along those smart choices to my blog followers. Let me help you. If you have a product that you… Continue

Hi All, I have posted my recipe for mock champagne in my blog: http://jesuslovespebbles.blogspot.com/2008/12/mock-champagne.html.
Not only is it easy to make (the kids will have a great time making the mock champagne!), it is a big hit with adults and children alike.
Whenever my husband and I hold gatherings at our home, it is always the first item to run out. :)
Have fun trying out the recipe!

Yum, even though it is a few days before Christmas, the family is still hungry even though we Mom's may not want to cook or bake one more thing. Let me tell you about a couple of recipes I have been making that are delicious, easy and maybe (I said may be remember), you may have leftovers.
ITALIAN CHICKEN SOUP
One whole chicken
Three jars Ragu or favorite spaghetti sauce
carrots, two large onions chopped, celery
One box elbow macaroni
salt, garlic, favorite spices… Continue

Quick List from Free to Affordable. Check it out, and please share you favorite ways to hang with teens. I've blogged my top 13 ideas, but I'm always looking for new ideas... always looking for a way to connect without "crowding" my three teens. First one is going off to college in January (after a semester of local school and commuting from home). It's freaking me out I, I admit, it's the beginning of the "end!" The end of him living here, of this being HIS home, the end of seeing him every… Continue

I've done my fair share of research on blogging, but I've never thought that it dates as far back or as early as the 17th or 18th century. Read more from justkeepingtabs.blogspot.com...
