Conair You Styler

Who knew you could Curl your hair with your straightener, seems like an oxymoron but it's true. You can do it with most straighteners. I tested with mine last night and was very pleasantly surprised. It made s nice big curl, I think it will take time to perfect it.

You start a little away from your roots and turn the straightener 180 degrees and go down your hair. The slower you go down your hair the tighter the curl.

Today I went to one of my favorite places Target and bought… Continue

The Missing Ingredient

Last night, I looked through the fridge and cupboards for inspiration as to what to make for dinner. I decided to make Teriyaki salmon on a bed of rice with steamed vegetables on the side.

The salmon needed to be marinated for at least an hour before baking so I got to work immediately... and then IT happened....…

The Santa Concept

Christmas has been so hectic.  Dragging babies across the country, presents, presents, different foods, different people, presents, a massive snow storm, and, well, presents.

It's amazing how quickly the girls took to the idea of Santa.  We hadn't prepared them for it throughout the season.  We mentioned Christmas.  We told them about presents.  But we…

Another Turing Point....My New Year Resolution

1 You have searched me, LORD,

and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;

you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3 You discern my going out and my lying down;

you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue

you, LORD, know it completely.

5 You hem me in behind and before,

and you lay your hand upon me

6… Continue

Don't know if I can put the fish down or not:(

My post

Well our fish is no its last fin and I am not sure what to do about it.  We have had it for 2 years and I hear form those who have fish that 2 years is a long time for a fish.

You can see in the picture below the swollen blue eye and this blue has started to show up all over the purple color the fish is…

Time to slow down, catch your breath

I'm restless. Already. You probably know how it is. You've been been so hyped up for Christmas; you've shopped, baked, mailed, decorated, done everything you need to do to fulfill your holiday obligations and you've succeeded.

Your days have been overflowing with Christmas spirit.

But ... now Christmas is over. Just. Like. That. And don't get me wrong - it was great. I loved it. And I miss it already. But it's just when you've been going, going, going for so long, it's kind of…

This is not a New Years Resolution

This is not a New Years Resolution I would like to say first BUT now that I have gotten the go ahead from my doctor to begin working out again it is time to kick it in to gear! This whole not exercising for 6 weeks has done my body in. And the 2 months before my surgery where I was just feeling awful didn't help either.

I have always had an hourglass figure and with me being 5'3" and all of my weight plopping front and center on my chest, which my husband doesn't mind but I do, I need to… Continue

A Christmas Eve Pajama Party

This morning, the Christmas tree lights are unplugged, and it’s just a dark form in the corner of the room. If I touch the needles of the tree, they shatter in my hand. Where presents used to spill out on the floor in abundance, just a carpet of dried needles can be found.

Beat the Post-Christmas Blues

Christmas is over. There's sadness in you. Perhaps it's because the family has gone home and now the house feels so empty. Perhaps it's because of the forgotten Christmas tree in the corner of the room... the lights are no longer turned on and there's a void beneath the tree. Perhaps it's because the passing of the season is a sad reminder of the passage of time. Regardless of the reason, the days after Christmas can be emotionally overwhelming. Here are ten tips on how to beat the…

Resolutions for a Better World: A Blogshare Opportunity

Each year, as the calendar turns from December to January, greeting a new year and leaving one behind, millions of people make "New Year's Resolutions". Typically, they resolve to improve themselves or their lives in some fashion. Popular themes for resolutions include health (losing weight, exercising more, drinking less, quitting smoking), finances (spending less, saving more, developing and/or sticking to a budget, changing careers), and organization (better time management, minimizing…

So Christmas was a blast!!

You know how the older you get the more you appreciate just the small

things like spending time with your family, or making cookies or just

enjoying a meal together? That was this Christmas...I am so glad my

husband has had all this time off to spend with us and even though a

large majority of his time was spent shopping and preparing for our

holiday parties, I think he has enjoyed his time off. My husband is one

of those… Continue
