Ah Feng Shui me!

Today is the start of baby making ROUND 2. In 5 days I will ovulate again so it's time to start stocking up on my hubby's little swimmers, since they are only able to survive in the uterus for about that length of time. My hope is by using as many natural techniques as… Continue

Theres a baby sleeping on my lap...

and I refuse to put him down. Ever since Monday night, I haven't wanted to let him go at all. It tears my heart open when I even go in the other room. What if I had lost him too? So its just been me and him attached at the hip for the past few days.

He's getting stronger with tummy time. He's starting to do mini pushups when hes on the floor. Hes such a cutie. I love the smiles I get in the morning. I don't know what I'd do without him.

I want to give him the…

Am I a Slacker or Just a "Laid Back" Mommie?

John and Menopause Mommy

I'm one of those moms that opted to have my second baby in my mid-thirties. Since he’s a rambunctious three year old now, you can about guess my age. My first is an intelligent, well-adjusted eighteen

year old enjoying his first year away at college.

I have the best of both worlds.

With my oldest, the pressure is minimal. He’s…

Customer Service is Not Dead

In an era where if my cable goes out it stays out for 2 weeks, I can’t even get an appointment to get my shady wireless internet

looked at, my bank charges me fees for just about everything and my

T.G.I. Friday’s server stops speaking to me because he brings out the

wrong meal and I ask him to replace it with the correct meal--I’ve

gotta say, I’d kind of lost faith that customer service exists anywhere

anymore!…

Treasure Chest

Ever since I was a little girl, my mother’s jewelry box has had a certain draw. When I was young, it was a place of wonderment and fantasy. I’d stand in front of her dresser wearing her high heels, and

spraying her perfume--but the most magical moment was when I’d adorn

myself with her jewelry, piling on piece after piece until I surely

looked ridiculous and weighed down under it all, but I felt like a

princess and daydreamed my very own princess fairy tales. Now that I…

10 Ways to Feel Better

Everyday the friendly security guard in my building greets me with a

huge smile and asks me how I'm doing that day. Today, I considered

saying (with an equally huge smile) "Barely holding back the tears! And

how are you?!" Somehow I found a way to resist the urge. I just smiled.

I wonder if he noticed that the smile didn't reach my eyes. I just get

really sad and overwhelmed sometimes. Then I feel guilty for feeling

that way because I am so blessed. When I feel… Continue

Splurge vs. Steal: The Panton Chair

The Panton chair is a classic vintage chair that is commonly used in many modern homes. This chair is easily a designers favorite for its beautiful shape but quickly became a child's beloved seat! They can

though cost you a pretty penny especially if you are going to have a

seating area for your little ones consisting of more than one Panton

chair! In this Splurge vs. Steal I wanted to show you that you…

How easy is it to watch your kids?

Who has lost track of your child for a minute? A few minutes? Come on, I know I’m not the only one who has had that shot of pure panic at Target when one kid was begging for a toy and the other decided to play hide-and-seek under the clothing racks. Or how about at the airport when you are scanning the carousel for your luggage and suddenly realized your kids aren’t right next to you? At the…

Want to be treated like a top blogger? Act like one.

I've observed popular bloggers for a while now. They all have certain traits -- a special quality that makes them that little bit different. It's hard to put your finger on exactly what it is. You just LIKE THEM. ADMIRE THEM. WANT TO BE LIKE THEM.

Why? Who knows. But this stuff will help:

1. Write really good posts.

2. Be polite to everyone. They might end up being your boss.

3. Be an active part of the community. Comment. Keep conversations going. Be involved.…

To have a good friend, you've got to be a good friend

It seems everything we need to know in life we learn in preschool. My 4

year old has been repeating, "Mommy, to have a good friend, you've got

to be a good friend!" No doubt a piece of sage advice bestowed upon her

by her wonderful preschool teacher.Anyways, Bella tends to like to

share these words of wisdom with Mommy. Normally, I say ,"Yes, sweetie.

That is right!" But, this time I actually took the advice to heart and

examined…

Raibow Brite makes her triumphant return!

Do you remember Rainbow Brite? I sure do! I loved her colorful world and the ponies and Sprites. I even had a pillow doll that my grandmother made for me. You know, the fabric you

can buy and cut out to sew? I loved that doll.
