Hash Wednesday

...Yes, you read that right.  At the University of Illinois, we celebrated Hash Wednesday.  Because of the inclement weather of east central Illinois, Hash Wednesday was later in the spring semester, when it was sunny and warmer, usually after spring break and a few weeks before finals.  For one day, every spring the main quadrangle would secede from the nation and become its own country…where smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol was legal…for all ages.

Our Struggle with AD/HD

My ten year old son is a loving, sensitive, intelligent, energetic, curious child. He’s petite like his momma, but cut like an eighteen year old, six pack and all. He has the longest eye lashes and a face full of the cutest freckles, another thing he got from momma. He has always had the energy of four children. I call him “our lil Tasmanian devil”.

While I was pregnant with him, I was always worried cause I hardly felt him move. I guess he was saving it all for when he entered this…
