At exactly this time exactly two years ago, my youngest daughter was born. How is it possible that two years have passed since this little monster angel came into our lives? She's such a complete mystery to me most times....then other times, she's as clear as a bell when she screams at tells me exactly what she wants. I cannot think of a better pair of sisters than my little Pumpkin and Dumpling. It's true. They fight...like sisters often do. But, it's… Continue

As some of you know, my husband is stuck in Florida because of the monster snowstorm. He was down there to bring one of our daughters to Walt Disney World where she is going to be doing an internship. He called me late Monday night and said he had mistakenly overdrawn his checking account with a purchase that very evening. He asked me to go down to the Citizens Bank in the morning and deposit $25.
As soon as the kids got on the school bus I was at… Continue

When was the last time you took a day off with your child or children? I took mine today.
I don’t have classes on Thursdays, but Clever Preschooler does.
Although I still am a Stay at Home Mom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’ve
been feeling like we never spend the day (just the two of us) together
So, I kept him home from Preschool. (I know it sets a bad precedence,
but at 3 and a half does he honestly need to be going to… Continue

Parenting guides, parenting classes, and parenting coaches continue to flood the market at an amazing rate as a result of the time tested theory of supply and demand. There is a huge demand so the supply becomes greater and greater. Today's parents are aware of the difficult times our children face and are concerned. For the most part, the information on the market all have something of value to offer. Some offer methods while others focus on a specific area to address.
My goal over the next couple of weeks is to meet and introduce myself to at least 5 new people a day here. I want to meet and exchange ideas with other bloggers who enjoy their work, their time blogging, and are outgoing!
Why am I doing this? Because I want to hook up with other women who are into blogging about different aspects of life. I want to give my followers more places to find good information.
I am not one to have an easy time with pregnancy in the first
trimester. I'm the mama with her head in the toilet, the trash can, the
parking lot of Target, the random grocery bag I find lying in my car.
It's just not a pretty thing. There is no beauty, no poise, no food
left in my stomach. But it is also during this time that I am most
excited at the prospect of this new little life inside of me.
Why is it that kids will happily gorge themselves on ice cream, candy, or gooey-cheesy things but turn their little button noses up at salads, lentils or other nutritious-from-the-garden-foods? I know the scientific and biological reasons, as well as understanding that some parents are in a perpetual survival mode with their kids when it comes to their diets. But as a self-proclaimed foodie, I want to expose my little one to all the flavors the world has to offer. Bit by bit, of…
Well. I had to leave the boat. There's a wedding. My husband on buisness begged me to come with him. A chance to see the grandkids. My friend is very sick. That did it. Here I am back in the land of ice and snow and not completely hating it, but you know.... It snowed all day today and I had to drive the big truck. Less chance of a spin out. I got to spend some time with my sweet friend (sigh), got a parking ticket (groan), had my…
Despite doctor analysis, it's common for most people to seek outside opinions and those specifically of mothers! Attention Deficit Disorder commonly referred to as ADD (Or ADHD if there is hyperactivity involved) is growing more and more common and becoming even more of a challenge to deal with in today's society.
Having an 11 year old who is ADHD - I have been long intending to write an article and…
Ok, so its come to my attention lately that apparently, I am not the
only Mommy in the world (or even my circle) who is trying to figure out
a way to raise a family, keep them healthy and happy, and ,while doing
so, keep herself in shape. So, I am proposing that Wednesday, the until
now dreaded… Continue
So, there are all kinds of theme days out there in blogland...some are goofy and cheesy (in my opinion) and some are cool. I happen to think the Wordless Wednesday deal is kinda spiffy, so I'm gonna do it! Not really into copycatting (is that a word?) but I am into being…
