Not sure what else to call this post other than that...I have things to say, but they are all over the place!

I'm now on my second week of regular exercise. Don't get me wrong I've always exercised, but I just haven't been consistent for the last few years. So anyway, this is my second week of building up my running. Last week I was walking 4 minutes and running for 2 minutes - do that 5x's. This week is walk 3 minutes and run 3 minutes - 5x's. I started that Tuesday and can now…

No Ordinary Girl By Kim Cormack www.kimcormack.com

No Ordinary Girl

Her dreams they come in color like movie reels on a screen

She remembers every moment of magic she has ever seen

She is no ordinary girl

Most days her hands are covered in mud from playing with bugs and worms

She’s really not too worried about girlie things like getting sick and germs

It’s not that she’s untidy she usually starts out clean

She never dreams of being a princess

Because… Continue

Morning Rush House for SAHMs

Anyone that knows me in the real world, knows that I am *not* a morning person. At. All.

In my pre-baby days when I was a 9 to 5'er, the morning rush hour meant sitting in traffic for an hour, creeping down the road just to discover there was no accident, just rubberneckers. Once I reached the office, coworkers knew not to speak to me for at least the first hour of the

day. My day could officially begin once I had…

The Little Things Mean So Much

I promised myself I wouldn't be one of those moms who constantly brags and plays the

"anything you can do, I can do better" game, but today was such a great milestone for our Molly who has Down Syndrome (see my previous post here). It was a reminder to celebrate the little things in life. I almost feel silly admitting this, but here…

Down Syndrome Awareness Month - My Molly

Did you know that October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month? There are over 400,000 living with Down syndrome in the United States. Down syndrome occurs when an individual has three, rather than two, copies

of the 21st chromosome. This additional genetic material alters the course of development and causes the characteristics associated with Down syndrome.
It wasn't until June 24rd, 2010 that I really…

Disgruntled Employee

I figure the level of hierarchy in this house is something like this.

My Husband - he is supporting the house after all. Me - obviously. The children and then the dogs.

In an ideal world, it would be like this every day.

Unfortunately, when the children get sick, the hierarchy is altered somewhat and I become their employee... or bitch, if you will! It has to be done. They are sick. Feverish with nasty coughs and all that goes with it.

As an employee,… Continue
