My Marriage Experiment... Average, Stuck-In-A-Rut Couple Seeking Phenomenal, Fantastic Marriage ~ Does It Really Exist?

Monotony, boredom, excuses, and blame; this is not the life I signed up for. Insecurity, self-doubt, financial hardship, and despair; not exactly what I had in mind. Excitement, adventure, passion, and love; yes, that’s what I meant, that’s absolutely what I want.

In all fairness, I’m sure my husband didn’t expect to marry a loony bird wife either. Up down, high low, scattered and erratic; yeah, not the way he intended to roll. But that’s where we’re at, and that’s why we’re… Continue

My Take on Review Blogging- Good or Bad

Most of you know that I also write a review blog, Mummy's Product Reviews. Initially, I didn't set out to write product reviews. It all started right here back in 2006 when as a weekly feature I did 'The Product of the Week'. People were always asking me about places to go, brands, beauty items, I could go on. As a self-admitted "product whore" and advice columnist wannabe, it seemed a likely fit. 'The Product of the Week' was simply my take on a product I tried, loved and wanted to share.… Continue

Watching Fox AND not vaccinating?! Who am I?

Any of you who know me know I am not a big fan of Fox News or any news that gives me only one side of a story or argument. I also vaccinate my kids and believe most are designed to keep my own children healthy as well as those in my community. That being said, I am recommending you watch a video on Fox News about the risk of vaccinating your child against H1N1 and other vaccines in general. This Dr. has the same general viewpoint as I do and I found it refreshing.

Why I Love Scott Fox's Book, Internet Riches

I always loved reading "Cliff Notes" as a young student. Not as a means of beating the system but as a way to quickly learn the pertinent information at hand. Come to think of it, moms deserve cliff notes because we need to absorb things fast and furiously as we go about our day multitasking carpools and kids, work, school, house, parents... need I say more? Today I thought I'd do you the honor of creating a short list, cliff notes if you will, from the book that got us started on the Butterfly… Continue

I met a guy

Since the 5th grade, when I'm approached by a boy I like I get all nervous. I start wondering, "What if he doesn't REALLY like me?", "What if he likes me today, but likes someone more tomorrow?" What if? What if? What if?

I reveal the insecurities all single women feel when entering a new relationship. Hey, why not? I'm hoping someone will read it, and determine that what they feel is valid, and real, and normal. Then, we can all chill-ax and enjoy the journey we've been… Continue

Before You Vaccinate

I had been gung ho about vaccinating my son. I've been terrified after reading/hearing about numerous deaths associated with H1N1 that I've become, like so many other mothers, extremely frusterated with our system for taking so long to begin manufacturing these ever so important H1N1 vaccinations. But how safe are they? After watching this video with Dr. Manny and DIedre Imus, I must confess-I came to agree with much of what she was saying. The… Continue

Texting - Walk the Talk

I got busted! With all my high and mighty talk about placing limits on my kids' texting habits, it appears I needed a reminder to follow my own rule.

We took our annual family trek to Frankenmuth, Michigan a couple of weeks ago. For those of you who've never heard of Frankenmuth, it's a super cool town known as "Michigan's Little Bavaria." It is also home to the uber-famous Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, the world's largest Christmas store. Bronner's unabashedly proclaims "the joy… Continue

My Trip to Singapore

I just got back from a very fast trip to Singapore, with a one day stopover in Bangkok. I have to say that Bangkok is absolutely one of my favorite places in the world! Amazing food, incredible massages and the nicest people in the world!

One of our favorite massage parlors in Bangkok, is Lek Foot Massage,. They are located right across from the Novotel Hotel and Siam Paragon Shopping Center. I discovered this place a few years… Continue

Hello from Singapore

First, Singapore is beautiful and we are having an amazing time. I am so blessed that I can travel and take my children with me. We have decided that we will take each child on their own trip– so this was Gymnasts trip. My other two children also had their “on their own trips” It is a whole other world… Continue

Mommy, I Don't Think Grandma Likes Us

This morning my daughter said 7 words that broke my heart.

"Mommy, I don't think Grandma likes us."

If you have been following my blog from the beginning then you already know that I had to move in with my mother when the house we were renting from was sold. My mother has been a huge help by providing a roof over my head and my children’s’ heads. She also watches them after school until I get home and feeds them dinner since I don’t get home until 9pm. She picks my youngest up from… Continue
