I heard a commercial, on the radio, for yet another one of those quick-fix weightloss programs. Having basically tuned it out, my brain drifting off to another topic..probably my To Do list for the day..I was instantly dialed back into the commercial, when I heard this, "finally, a diet that won't kill you!" Kill you? A diet? There…

I have searched and searched and searched for WordPress Plugins that would help me with various tasks on my blog, make my blog more efficient, more SEO friendly. There are tons of them out there and there tons of “best wordpress plugins”, “best free wordpress plugins”, “Top Comment Plugins”, “Best SEO Plugins”, etc etc etc posts out there, but how many of them are actually useful to me and my blog (and to my fellow parent and/or review bloggers).
So, I put forth the question, as a… Continue

My girls are sick.
Katie has fever and a nasty, croup like, seal cough. Sarah has fever and diarrhea, and poor Megan has fever and a productive runny nose and cough. All on a day when they have school, I have work, and we all need to get out of this house.
I was up all night. Megan could not sleep and was, literally, up, standing in her crib past 1am. I would get her, rock her, think I had her to sleep, put her down, only to be greeted with a screaming baby a few seconds… Continue

RAVE! RAVE! RAVE!
I can not give enough stars, thumbs up, or accolades to "Salsa for Kittens and Puppies", a fantastic book and CD combination I received from littleonebooks.com!
Not only is the book portion of the product colorful, well illustrated, and fun to read, but it incorporates Spanish and English, instruments and musical fun on every page! My three daughters - 4, 3, and 1 - gathered around the second I opened it and had me read it again, and again, and… Continue

"Ella the Elegant Elephant" is a wonderfully whimsical story written in perfect harmony with the times we live in.
A story about an elephant, new to town, shy, and nervous facing a bully, trying to do what is right. With the help of a gift from her Grandmother, Ella stands firm and faces her bully, Belinda, head on. As we follow Ella through the story, we feel her insecurity and concern over her ability to deal with the uninvited bullying. We see others laugh and turn against her… Continue

A few weeks ago, I received a request to review a website, littleonebooks.com. I scanned the page, liked what I saw and agreed to the terms. I thought, a little paragraph of review and we are all good.
Little did I know that, as I went back to the website to learn a little more, I would be drawn in, coerced by the easy layout, colorful pages, and intelligent descriptions of the products they offer. This is not your ordinary book site. It is a specialized, goal oriented, educational… Continue

As a mom, I struggle daily with whose needs are more important. With two kids, the oldest is three and the youngest is nine months, it seems that someone always needs something and what I need is placed on the backburner. My favorite line these days is, “mommy only has two hands.” Seriously, why can’t mothers grow a disposable third arm and hand that they can use and would automatically detach and… Continue

Hip British brand AllSaints Spitalfilds continues its triumphant US invasion. The brand’s disheveled cool style with a distinct rock ‘n’ roll vibe and glamorous Goth infusion translates surprisingly well into the kids wear, if you are looking for something really edgy and unconventional. The quite decent selection of AllSaints’ kids’ clothes on sale is available on Asos.com, which had launched its first US store with free shipping both ways!… Continue
