I had plans for today, and they weren't particularly festive ones.
We'd just returned from vacation, and there were three piles of laundry waiting their turn for the machine.
I had some online work to do, as well, and I noticed as I carried my coffee to the computer that the weekend of rain had turned my little garden into a bed of weeds. Today's sunny afternoon would be a great time to fix that.

I grew up the opposite of Stacey (Or insert cute blogging pseudonym). My family is extremely religious. My Parents started out as Baptists and swapped over to non-denominational Christians. Don’t confuse non-denominational with non-religious though. We went to church every Sunday and then some. My parents were deacons and treasurers and bulletin writers and other assorted volunteer positions. My parents were Gideons and all that that entails. I went to Sunday School until I taught it. I went…Continue

Well, another Holiday and nothing, absolutely nothing but sitting in the ac,the three little one's are once again having an "I can't keep my hands to myself day", and me, I'm writing. That's right, I decided I can not and will not play the part of 'playground' lady. I missed out on too many activities itercepting fists, feet and toy cars and I've had it. I was enlightened by my 22 yo daughter who is my right hand man,…Continue

Probably the best news I've had for a very long time came by way of an email the other day, when I was informed about the Education Authority's agreement to transfer Amy to a specialised school. I read the email a few times just in case I'd read it wrong, but it was there in black and white, the decision so very much needed made by the powers-that-be to go ahead and arrange the transition.
