I'm sure you're familiar with the five love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, gifts, and touch. We all feel most loved when people provide us with one of these 5 things. If we can learn how to provide our spouse (and kids) with their love language, everyone is much happier.

Last night, my parents told me that my Grandma is suddenly very ill with pancreatic cancer and may only make it another 2 months. If that. Hospice is being called in, she is being made comfortable and, just like that, my last Grandparent and my girls only Great- Grandparent will go to meet her maker.
I sat stunned, unable to comprehend the news. My Grandma is strong. The backbone of my Father's family. The matriarch with the beaming smile, the delicate laugh, and the twinkling eyes.… Continue

My kids are young (5,4,3 and 1) but even at these young ages, the 3 older ones know exactly what Christmas is. They are aware that we are celebrating the birth of our lord and savior… Continue

So I thought of starting this 20 days of Chrsimas. I got this idea from my favorite time of the year "25 days of Christmas" on ABC family. So I thought why not have a cookie for every day till Christmas. I am running little late as I missed out on 5 days already. Now I have only 20 days to Christmas left.
So here is today's cookie: Day 1

The reason behind me getting a blog was to share some of my everyday stories with some of the same people that are going through some of the same things as me and other mothers. I'm using this blog as a tool to help me be a better person when it comes to talking to people about problems that I keep to myself. I hope I can help people with there problems and people can help me with mine. Enjoy and look forward to talking to some of my… Continue

I was leaving my mother-in-law’s today with Thomas and we were saying “bye bye” which is a long process that involves lots of “bye byes” and waving in an attempt to get Thomas to learn to wave. And he DID! He took out his little arm and flapped it back!! Then I squealed (loudly), scared him (oops), and he burst into tears (OMG!). Which made me want to burst into tears. After lots of hugs between my mother-in-law and me, he got over it… but he would not wave again when we said “bye bye.” I’ve… Continue

The photo shoot behind December's masthead. Brought to you by high-fructose corn-syrup and an ass.
Well, it's that special time of year again when I dangle my children by their ankles and ply them with promises of high-fructose corn-syrup treats to pose for the camera. It doesn't take much coaxing, though, since they're processed-food-sugar-junkies. Admittedly, I am their enabler.
Anyway! It's December! So a new masthead!… Continue
