Even if you drink wine regularly, you might not have a developed taste for it. Drinking box wine from your local supermarket does not mean that you know wine, but if you would like to acquire a more elevated taste for this extremely elegant and at times sophisticated beverage, the process is…

Eating food to remove wrinkles

Eating to look younger was perhaps popularized by Dr. Perricone in his book “The Wrinkle Cure”. The reason could be that his book gave a different twist to the.... Read More at : Eating food to remove wrinkles

The Doctor Put His Finger In Your What?!

Not to worry, dear friends, I haven't taken a turn away from G-rated material but... you would never guess where the doctor put his finger today. Ready? Are you sitting down? Do you have a bowl or bag to puke into? Can you handle this?

The doctor put his finger in my....

Oh. My. God. I can't say it. I'm going to be sick just recalling this traumatic event.

You say addiction, I say connection

I have no idea the extent to which digital and social media will affect us all long term. But I am absolutely certain it has changed society forever. It's changed the way we communicate. It's changed the way we get information. I think it's even warped our concept of time. Anymore, if it isn't instant - it's slow. And slow is unacceptable.

When I think of the number of people I am able to connect with through Facebook on a daily basis that I would otherwise not talk to for months or…

Picture Perfect

Z has finally begun drawing pictures that are somewhat recognizable to the rest of the world. Her vision has become more than scribbles and dots, but an actual picture of how she views the world around her. This is the first picture of our family.

REDUCE STRESS: ATTACK EVERYTHING

That’s right. We can reduce stress by attacking everything. I’ll get to that in a minute. First, here’s how I see it. I love going to the doctor for - you name it headache, backpain, stomach issues, skin issues- with the diagnosis that it’s all due to stress.

What is this catch all our doctors like to use? “Stress.” It seems to describe and explain everything. Usually, we deal with it by treating the symptom. Take a pill for the…

Is Reality Television Killing The Traditional Soap Opera?

When As The World Turns was cancelled in 2009 that caught my attention because it was noted as being the longest running soap opera on television. I didn't watch it so I wasn't losing any "connections". However, I was sad for those actors that would be losing their jobs and it's just sad the idea that the longest-running-soap-opera-on-television wasn't needed any more.

Now, with the news of One Life To Live and All My Children being cancelled I'm a bit miffed. AMC was my soap opera.… Continue

The Terrible, Horrible, No-Good Very Bad Day

Appearances don't matter, I told myself as I trudged into work that morning. Who cares that my normally obedient hair had gone rogue or that I was suffering from a very noticeable case of acne?

I was still me, right?

But when my computer crashed and my e-mail disappeared and my supervisor gave me another project I realized, with apologies to Judith Viorst, that this was a Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day.

So I shouldn't have been surprised when the air…

Farewell And Best Wishes

http://www.reanaclaire.com/2011/04/farewell-and-best-wishes.html

Yesterday it was the last day of work for one of my colleagues, we had a simple lunch in the office to mark her farewell. A few of us felt rather sad because she is our "clique" and she blends in pretty well with us. She will be missed because of our relationship and also she is a very hardworking lady as well...

We planned a…

Pregnancy Through The Eyes Of A Three-Year-Old

One of the most joyous parts of this pregnancy has been observing my daughter's processing of the events surrounding my pregnancy. What is going on for Mommy? Why is Mommy's body changing? What does it all mean?

As I reflect on these moments, I thought some are just to humourous not to share. So here it is... pregnancy through the eyes of a three-year-old....…
