http://www.reanaclaire.com/2011/02/my-soon-to-be-torture-in-gua-gendang.html

Gua Gendang, this name sends "shivers down my spine" these days...

Call me spoilsport or in cantonese "siyeh"... yes, I am one... I never like adventures and to travel in discomfort and in another few days, I will be experiencing just that... sobbb....

Unbalanced

I am unbalanced. Not according to my therapist, or my husband…but according to my Wii. Like most, I started out with a goal for the year, not a resolution, but a goal to be healthier. I know it is a broad goal, but it’s vague enough that if I fail, I have no accountability.

How to Build a Snowsuit

Being a Canadian I'm always prepared for snow and cold weather.  My boys both have snowsuits even though we get snow here in Virginia only once or twice a winter.  However last today's snow storm surprised me and Callen's winter suit was in the wash (he peed on it).  I needed to do some shoveling and with my husband away I had to bundle up both boys and have them outside with me.  I needed something for Callen to wear which would keep him warm so I made up my own winter suit.

Step 1.…

Farm Vacation- Antique Tractor Pull and Thresheree

A few days into our visit to Wisconsin, my uncle mentioned that he might like to check out a tractor pull. I jumped at the chance to take Munch- when would we ever do something like THAT again? It was a fairly wet day, so the fields were a giant mud pit. After purchasing some hot dogs and nachos, we were able to find a dry spot in the bleachers under some trees and I could… Continue

The Beginning of a Bucket List

Follow my blog "Rub Some Dirt On It" at http://vermontwhitneys.blogspot.com

We all have a Bucket List.  You know, things we'd like to do before we "kick the bucket."  Well, my father-in-law, who has lived in New England for twenty-five years now, had yet to take an old-fashioned sleigh ride through the snow.  It was on his Bucket List.  So this weekend, with all our family in tow, we obliged him and headed…

Making my own baby food

So I knew before my daughter was born that I wanted to make her baby food instead of using jar food. It's healthier, more eco-friendly, cheaper (although I'm starting to question this), and tastes better. I started researching when she was about 2 months old and realized there were actually baby food makers! No more hassle of steaming and pureeing in separate machines. Continue

MIke Huckabee, "I Don't Want Obama to Fail"

Could this be the first Republican politician that has said publicly that he doesn't want Obama to fail? In an interview yesterday on Good Morning America, George Stephanopoulos gave Mike Huckabee a chance to promote his new book, A Simple Government,  and to reveal his intentions on running for president in the 2012 election. In the interview, Huckabee stated that he thinks Obama will be tough to beat. After all, in modern times, every president except Carter  and Bush Sr. has…
