Getting into product reviews is not as hard as you may think. Women listen to the advice of other women. We can relate to each other and marketers recognize this amazing ability.
Sometimes we just cannot come up with words to say in order to pitch a company. You never want to appear too casual or unprofessional. Just like you and I, PR personnel do not have a lot of time. They want to briefly read over your email and make a fast decision. You always want to use correct spelling and… Continue

Eons ago I had my first spa experience in the Philippines. It was a place called The Palm Garden and it was at the penthouse of the building I worked at — I worked a few floors down for what was then a start-up magazine (now one of the established fashion magazines in the Philippines). It was all very Devil Wears Prada – so you can imagine my excitement when they needed someone to write about a spa.
Since I was just a lowly fashion assistant, I grabbed the opportunity to prove my… Continue

Greetings from Leesburg, Georgia. I am new to this interesting world of blogging and am looking to network with moms who might share common interests. There are 1000s of sites out there for the younger mom with small children.... not that there is anything wrong with that lol, but I would also like to meet moms and grandmas in their 50s.
I am a 52yo married mom and grandma to three adorable babies. I enjoy being with family and friends. I love traveling to… Continue

Dry lips.......I hate it. Irritated, uncomfortable and flaky. I think I had read about this treatment in a magazine when I was a teenager and have been doing it since. What to do
You will need a soft toothbrush, a washcloth and some Vaseline. First I wet the washcloth with warm water and hold it to my lips for a minute to soften the dry flaky skin. Next, gently rub the wet toothbrush on your lips to exfoliate. Be gentle!
Follow up with a good coating of Vaseline. I find… Continue

Tonight is the second night the girls sleep independantly in their own room.
Last night went well, alhamdullillah. We hanged the baby monitor on Wiyah’s cot and we placed the other in our room. I, being the nervous one, slept around 1plus cos i was waiting to hear anything. In case any baby suddenly need milk or a diaper change. But there was nothing. So i joined my husband to lala land.
I only started hearing noises around 7plus in the morning.
I’ve been asked on how do i sleep train my babies. There is no secret and i’m more than happy to share.
I’m no genius and i did it through lots of reading, asking from parents who have done it before and surfing for info on the Net. And my desperation to have my own rest and sanity pushed me to do what i did. I need my usual self to function properly as a mother to a set of triplets.
Having 3 babies at a go is no joke. It IS hard work and i’m multi-tasking ALL the time.… Continue

My sister, Chikine, wrote out a beautiful and long post for my daughters. I cried while reading it because i identify with it so much. All the memories, all the past that i cannot put into words, she put it in for me.
Thank you so much Adik. I am very thankful to be blessed with a sister like you, not for the post that you wrote but for being with me all the way from the time i was pregnant with the girls till now. I will make sure the girls remember and respect you as their only Mak… Continue

My daughters turn exactly one year old as of now, as of today. A year has passed. My baby girls who were born at less than 2kg each are now a year old.
From being helpless beings who relied mostly on me to pick them up, nurture them, cuddle them, feed them and play with them to very active and crawling toddlers who will never think twice before putting that toy into their mouths.
I have one who will literally smile when i… Continue

As most mothers know, car seats are a definite hassle when you are moving from vehicle to vehicle. In a recent shopping trip, my little sister and I decided to take my new Civic SI Sedan instead of her Hyundai SUV. We always dread the infamous car seat swap so I figured the transition from the SUV to the Sedan would be quite an experience.
We unbuckled little Carson (still sleeping of course) she held him while I tried to undo the contraption in her backseat. Not only does this process… Continue

Hmmmm...my mission (should I choose to accept it) is to share seven pieces of information about myself that I haven't previously blogged on, and that most people wouldn't know about me. I considered approaching this from a seven deadly sins angle, but figured you would round up a posse and lynch me when you discovered what a lustful, slothful gannet I really am.
I kinda like being alive and in full use of my limbs, so I scrapped that idea.
The only… Continue
