After I received the lovely email from my husband about the water heater being ready to burst, we decided to shut off the hot water for the rest of the evening until the repairman could come out and fix it.
Anna and I decided to go to my parent's house which is about 40 minutes
away and eat dinner and take our baths for the evening.
The spicy smells of Italian cooking on the stove tickled my nose as we walked in to my parent's house. Anna… Continue

Sunday at church we invited a really neat family over for a dinner cookout. Cutie Pie and Sweet Pea both knew Mr. D and Miss C and their little girl were coming over and they were very excited to play with her, and them!
Shortly before they were to arrive, the kiddos were playing nicely outside and every once in a while would ask "When are they arriving, Mommy?" and I would tell them soon. At one point I heard Hubby say "Hello" through the open window and said "They must be here!… Continue

My dad wanted to take the kids to Farm Tour Day in his area of NY state this past weekend. We knew right away that Cutie Pie would absolutely love it! We toured 3 farms and had a great time while learning more than we thought possible about the different types of animals you can find on farms.…

Talk about imagination fueled by Daddy! Cutie Pie was hanging out with Sweet Pea and Daddy one night while I tended to the dishes. I could hear Cutie Pie running back and forth from the rumpus room to the living room screaming all excitedly while bringing pillows into the living room. Daddy was saying things like "Let's get in the truck and go!" Cutie Pie then interrupted with "Wait, we forgot Sweet Pea!", or "Wait, we forgot the teeth!" (which would be followed by the little thumping feet and… Continue

Cutie Pie has been going to preschool camp for several weeks now. We've had a huge experience with separation anxiety as a result. The first day he clinged to me for almost 45 minutes before the teacher could pry him off of me for him to experience the two hours at… Continue

How cool to have a science experience just drop in our driveway...literally! I was pulling our driveway safety net out so the kids could play and I saw a cicada shedding its shell! Very cool especially because we had just watched a video about insects a couple of days ago and learned about how some insects grow this way. I tried to capture it in… Continue

Holy frikkin’ Friday already! Time has a terrible, terrible habit of getting away from me lately, even more so with a short week, & having been away for a spell. As you can see, I have yet to find a “Friday” title worthy of me, so I just keep playing with it. Eventually, one of them will stick, but even I wanted to kick my ass every time I wrote “Friday Funny“. Epic fail…trite,… Continue

Last year, five of my friends, including myself, were all pregnant. It was the first baby for all of them, but I was on my second. The days of their disinterest as I rambled on about the greatest children’s products were now ignited by their own fervour and zest for the latest baby merchandise. I had to smirk as they discussed which video monitor was essential or how the trendy fifteen hundred dollar stroller was about to go on sale. All too often I was read reviews, taken to stores, shown a… Continue
