Things I've Learned This Week

** It really helps to have your eyes open while trying to drive.

** Sparklers just make everyone happy.

** My kids were no doubt fish in a former life.

** Laughing really hard with friends is a WAY better ab workout than doing boring old sit-ups by yourself.

** Bras and underwear should be outlawed in these…

July 4th Recipes – Fun, Food, Family and Friends

July 4th is quickly approaching and it’s time to plan the BBQ menu.  This is always a great time of year because you come together with family and friends to have a great time.

I am a lover of food, so I love discovering fresh new recipes.  In addition to making hamburgers and hot dogs, I have decided to turn it up a notch this year and add a few fun new items to the menu.  I googled recipes and here are a few I…

Stupid Dutch [alternate title: I live with my dad and his funicular...obviously the universe hates me]

I realize Memorial Day weekend is actually the ‘official start’ of summer, however it doesn’t really feel like summer, to me, until the Fourth of July. Maybe it’s the unpredictability of our Wisconsin seasons; one Memorial Day weekend will find me hosing off patio furniture and another may find me shoveling off the drive-way. It isn’t until the Fourth of July that we Wisconsinites are…

4th of July Cheesecakes

Couple years ago I came across this sort of "Mock" Cheesecake recipe for an awesome throw together dessert. It was strawberries and so delicious everyone sort of just melted into their chairs going "Mmmmm".

We can't have My New York Cheesecake that I sometimes dream about, that's right I won't lie..I do crave that rich smooth velvet work of art. It took me years to finally get it so it didn't crack, the crust came out perfectly, it wasn't under cooked, or over cooked. Either way, I…

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Review.......Must See!!

Tonight we went to see the new movie Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 3-D. I have to say, I give it a big "Way to Go!"

I have a 2 year old, so sometimes it is hard to hold his attention at the movies. Well, this was not the case today! It has romance, humor, action,… Continue
