365 Days of Blessings – Day 82 – My Bajan Heritage

I am thankful for my Bajan heritage

My family on my Mum’s side hails from Barbados.  Such fun, laid back, welcoming island folk!  Love returning to the island and partaking of all the warmth its people and culture offer.  Tonight as I have my curry packed up and ready to go, I’m thankful that my roots hail from such a beautiful, enchanting space in the World!

Warmest regards,

365 Days of Blessings – Day 81 – Chivalry

I am thankful for chivalry

My neck is still out-of-place, along with a rib.  I sleep uncomfortably, and when I looked in the mirror, my right shoulder is actually a good couple of inches lower than my left.  As soon as I got…

365 Days of Blessings – Day 80 – Mat Training

I am thankful for mat training

We are in a different location almost every week.  Poppet never finds herself in familiar surroundings.  Especially for services, or visiting someone’s home, it is very useful to have a place that is her own.  We lay down a mat and bring toys with us that are only played with when that mat hits the…

365 Days of Blessings – Day 79 – Last Minute Chiropractic Appointments

I am thankful for last minute chiropractic appointments

I can’t move my neck.  Truly a problem in a house with a toddler!  I woke up sometime in the night with the inability to get comfortable and in agony when I had to turn on my right side to nurse.  Wonder if it had anything to do with the out-of-place rib I got my hubby to self adjust for me before I went to bed last night.  (If you now my chiropractor, just don’t tell him!).  Whatever the reason…

365 Days of Blessings – Day 78 – Grandma’s Bed & Breakfast (when Grandma’s outta the country!)

On our return from Sudbury this week-end, we stoppped in at Grandma’s in Toronto.  As hubby had Monday off and we planned on heading to the zoo, it was the perfect place to bed down for a couple of nights.

We arrived, unpacked, and opened the fridge (pretty much in that order).  It was BARE!  Not a thing but a hunk of cheese and a bit of cream.  Thankfully we had stopped for souvlaki take out and had dinner in the bag.  Consoled ourselves with the keurig k-cups instead…

365 Days of Blessings – Day 76 – Toronto City Pass

I am thankful for the Toronto City Pass

Papa has the day off after a busy week-end, and we stayed in Toronto at my Mum’s last night so we could go to one of the awesome sites Toronto has to offer visitors!  If you haven’t heard of it before, you should check it out.  Even if you live in the Toronto area as we do, it is a great idea for any family staycation!

Warmest…

365 Days of Blessings – Day 76 – Coffee

I am thankful for coffee

I used to own a tea company, and hated coffee. Enter Poppet. These days, tea is what I use to go to bed with, and coffee, the stronger the better, helps me on mornings like this when Poppet has been up almost ALL night nursing and tossing and turning! Should’ve known better than to go to bed at 12:30am. Ugh!

Warmest regards,

365 Days of Blessings – Day 75 – First Steps

This morning, while we were entering our hotel room after breakfast, Poppet stood up, and SHE WALKED!!!!  It was the most beautiful sight, and she is so very proud of herself.  Although I know that life will be busier than ever,

I am thankful for first steps

Warmest regards,

365 Days of Blessings – Day 74 – My Neighbours

I was cleaning the kitchen, and could hear Poppet laughing hysterically at the window.  Eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I just had to see what was so funny!  It was my next door neighbour shovelling her walkway.  They were playing a game of peekaboo between passes.  She greeted my with a warm smile and wave, and we both returned to our work at hand.

The next time I turned around and looked out the window, my neighbour was gone, but my entire walkway was…

365 Days of Blessings – Day 73 – Bubble Tea

I am thankful for bubble tea

The little bubbles of tapioca sliding up the straw.  So much fun!  How can I not help but smile!

Answered Prayers

Michael and Riley The theme of today’s blog hop is ANSWERED PRAYERS, and I definitely have many in my life to be thankful for. Actually, my entire life is comprised of answered

prayers. First and foremost, I was blessed with being a pretty

intelligent woman. This led me to become the first college graduate in

my family and college is where I was lucky enough to meet my future

husband, Michael. He is such a gift to me that I could write the rest
