Here's to You, Jetblue!

This is a repost from January 2015, I'd like to share again...

On our recent family vacation trip, our airline of choice due to convenience and price was Jetblue Airlines. They are fairly known in my neck of the woods having quite a large presence in our local airport. Each seat is equipped with its own television screen. I didn’t want any ear phones since I was planning to either take a nap or read my Kindle, so I picked the “Map” channel which is a live pinpoint of our location as…

Blessing Bags in Memoriam

Last year around this time, the boys' school suffered the sudden loss of a beloved teacher. It was a big blow to the community made even harder since it happened so close to the holidays. She always carried what she called "Blessing Bags" with her so that when she encountered someone in need, she would have something to give them. So, in honor of her memory, my son's 7th…

Operation Christmas Child Interview

I participated in Operation Christmas Child for the first time last year through my local church.  My family thoroughly enjoyed giving back through this organization.  All three of my boys loved picking out items for their shoe box; they each colored a picture and my oldest included information about himself in his box.  It was a great way for them to actively participate in giving back.…

Nevertheless, a lot of us are still holding our own while some of our friends, neighbors, family members,…

How Boarding School Can Help You Parent a Troubled Teen

Parenting teens is hard enough, but parenting a troubled teen can feel impossible. Most parents simply don’t have the training in psychotherapy techniques, communication skills, and mentoring necessary to guide a teen through the troubled years of adolescence, especially when that teen is also struggling with mental…

Has Blogging Become One Big Chore?

Have you ever looked at your blog’s dashboard and whimpered to yourself, “Oh, I just cannot in any way, shape, or form write a blog post today?”

We have all been there, right? Or, is it just me?

After eight years of blogging I have whimpered that more times than I…
