Tatted Mom's List of 10 Best Gifts for a Stay at Home Mom

I've read so many 'Top Gifts for Moms' articles it's not funny. Yahoo has them featured, Google, Amazon has their version, and that doesn't even begin to cover the blog articles out there covering what people should get their moms for Christmas. While I agreed with parts of many of the articles, there wasn't one I found that not… Continue

Mrs. Claus Knows Best

Mrs. Claus Knows Best

Hi Moms,

I love this quote by Mignon McLaughlin, "No matter how many Christmas presents you give your child, there's always that terrible moment when he's opened the very last one. That's when he expects you to say, 'Oh yes, I almost forgot,' and {you} take him out and show him the pony."

Now, here is my favorite Christmas tale about our kids when they were pre-school ages. The story is excerpted from my book… Continue

Contest - Gift Card Give Away in Time for Christmas

Now, who couldn't use that?

Christmas is days away people. DAYS.

I know this because my 12 year old is counting down every single bloody day.

Has she told me yet what she wants? Nope.

The girl has everything she could ask for, including an awesome mom, so this year, she really doesn't know what she wants.

Know what she's going to do? She's going to leave it up to me and then 3 days before Christmas she'll have her heart set on something that I…

Who In The Heck Is Santa Claus?

Who in the heck is Santa Claus and why is he the one that gets all of the credit? I'm one of those "new age" mommies. I have long discussions with my 5 year old son, I let him know that his opinion is always valid, but, of course, not as valid as mine. I believe that a lie is a lie and it is a written law that it can not happen in our house, or, there will be a "time out". So, given the fact that I have made this rule, law, how can I in good conscious teach my son about this overweight…

Black Friday Can Kiss My... Yeah, That

It amazes me how each year Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier. Yes, I know it's always the 25th of December, but have you noticed how the stores used to promote their Christmas items and sales starting with Black Friday- the day after Thanksgiving? Then slowly in the beginning of November you began seeing Christmas decorations pop up in stores, stocking stuffer packages, and advertisements telling you that you need that new fandagled whatchamacallit in your… Continue

I'm a Holiday person - love this time of year

I LOVE the Holiday season and I'll only be able to hold off one more week before I start playing my Holiday music (I know some people still think it is too early!).
