The Storm Damages Series is written by Magda Alexander. I enjoyed reading this series and found myself thoroughly engaged in the characters and the constant turn of events...danger, villains, friends, foes, deceit. It's all entirely too messy and entirely too engrossing. Put it on your reading list, but note that the trilogy is a continuing series and there are cliffhangers.
