About seven months after my teenage daughter passed away, I decided to start a Days for Girls chapter in my town. I had the opportunity to go to Dominican Republic on a doTERRA trip, and ended up helping distribute Days For Girls Kits with them and my sister Emili. I was trying to get my passion back in life after the loss of my daughter, and Days For Girls was just the thing to inspire me! I witnessed first-hand, the amazing effect that education and hand-sewn menstruation kits could have…Continue

I believe that in the summer time, when kids are off from school, that it is important to keep them active. Its important for them and also for you as a parent. When kids are bored they can not help but get into trouble. They need the stimulation that they are no longer getting. Here's a little more about it if your are interested in reading and seeing more. :)…Continue

Sadly no adolescent girl can simply wake up one day, snap her fingers, and be empowered to tackle the world and all the forces that exist inside and outside. Becoming empowered to be who we are can be truly difficult. This book consists of a step-by-step guide to help adolescent girls achieve self-improvement.…Continue

Girls Night Out. At my age, it doesn't mean squeezing into tight dresses and hitting the clubs. Really, it means plain and simple - just the girls, and the night involves talking, eating and drinking. Last night, we had an evening planned at a new restaurant downtown, just my 6 oldest and bestest girlfriends. We had been planning it for almost 2 months. Unfortunately the day of, 2 of our girlfriends had to back out. I was bummed, but 4 of us still planned to meet at a restaurant we all love…Continue

While this category of behavior includes healthy activities like working out or meditation, I tend to defer to other ones such as wine, junk food, and mindless television. The truth of the matter is that I have…Continue

Is it just me or does it seem to you that mean girls are increasing exponentially? Sure, there have always been mean girls. No doubt, even during the stone age there was one cave girl who was giving another Cro-Magnon chick attitude about her sub standard fur pelt. I mean wearing a brown bear hide in spring - how prehistoric. When I was in…Continue
