Hello, dear ones! Please join me for a word study on motherhood. Even if you are not a mother, you can use what you learn in other relationships. You are an example to the children in your life, whether that is a niece/ nephew, or kids in the youth group at your church. Also, I encourage all Godly women to find…Continue

Monday when I dropped Elijah off at school, I noticed the message on the school marquee sign about kindergarten registration. I can hardly believe that it’s been almost a year since that same announcement made my heart sad.
Last year at this time, Brad and I…Continue

Several years ago, I began leading the children’s ministry at the church where my hubby and I attended at the time. We were in a small church, so I usually only had a handful of students. However, no matter the size of my class, it was important to me to give them all a solid…Continue

I love playing with my kids. I love trying to meet all of their needs, and maybe a few of their wants. Most of all I love teaching them how to bring honor and…Continue

I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas. It was a great day that I was able to spend with my 3 favorite guys (husband, and 2 sons). The 24th on the other hand was a little rough to say the least. Here’s why. On the 23rd, I had to have a dental procedure on one of my front teeth. So, the dentist had to give me several shots of a local anesthetic (some type of novacaine) to numb the area. Later that evening, I said to my husband that it looked like my top lip…Continue

Being a christian is not easy and sometimes we face trying times
where we might feel that God has left us, or that we have strayed to far away to be bought back. Spiritually we may feel lost and in need of guidance so that we may be bought back to a peaceful state of mind.
I was once in…Continue

But I have to say, sometimes, I am still amazed at how quirky my kids can be. They provide me with hours of…Continue

This past year has brought a number of new babies to our family and close friends, so every few months, our boys were hearing about another baby being born. Either they were seeing those adorable newborn pictures in my Facebook feed, watching Mommy edit newborn pictures from the two sessions…Continue

I've always believed that everything happens for a reason. And though we often don't ever know the reason, sometimes, we get lucky enough to find out just why things happen the way that they do. I LOVE those little "aha" moments. They help to restore my faith and to reassure me that something greater IS actually in…Continue

What I needed as a side companion reading Heaven is for Real while commuting to and from work was a box of Kleenex. I cried like a child reading many sections of this book.
For two years I planned to read this book, but I just got around to it now. And boy am I glad I did. This is just the spiritual inspiration I need in my life at this very moment.
This true story about Colton Burpo’s visit to heaven and his encounter with Jesus Christ happened when he almost died of a…Continue
Even though I’m a mother myself, I’ve always knows Mother’s Day to be focused around my mother and typically include the four F’s of Mother’s Day: faith, family, food and flowers. This Mother’s Day, however, will be a little different. My mom is on vacation and living up her retirement, rightfully so, but she won’t be around for actual Mother’s Day. My brother and I…Continue

If you’ve read The Liberal Catholic: Part I, you’ll know that I’m on a search for a new religion. I began my search the same place as I do any other search: Google, of course. I did several searches pertaining to liberal religions and came…Continue

When I first started blogging, I did a search for do’s and don’ts. It was advised not to take any religious or political stands. However, I’m not a single parent expert or anything—I just blog about my life as a single parent. And I feel that some topics certainly affect me as a parent so sorry blogging advisers. I also want to make clear that I respect all…Continue
