She loves my little babies as if they were her own and it was fun to have some time away from the bump and grind and enjoy the city I live in!

So its time to share on our adventures.…

Firework Safety and Prevention For The Entire Family

Fourth of July is a little over a week away and the firework stands have been preparing for weeks so that they can legally open.  Most states in the US, allow firework stands to only be open for a short period of time before New Years Eve and Fourth of July.  During this small window, thousands of people flock to the firework stands looking to buy…

Things I've Learned This Week

** It really helps to have your eyes open while trying to drive.

** Sparklers just make everyone happy.

** My kids were no doubt fish in a former life.

July 4th Recipes – Fun, Food, Family and Friends

July 4th is quickly approaching and it’s time to plan the BBQ menu.  This is always a great time of year because you come together with family and friends to have a great time.

Stupid Dutch [alternate title: I live with my dad and his funicular...obviously the universe hates me]

I realize Memorial Day weekend is actually the ‘official start’ of summer, however it doesn’t really feel like summer, to me, until the Fourth of July. Maybe it’s the unpredictability of our Wisconsin seasons; one Memorial Day weekend will find me hosing off patio furniture and another may find me shoveling off the drive-way. It isn’t until the Fourth of July that we Wisconsinites are…

4th of July Cheesecakes

Couple years ago I came across this sort of "Mock" Cheesecake recipe for an awesome throw together dessert. It was strawberries and so delicious everyone sort of just melted into their chairs going "Mmmmm".

We can't have My New York Cheesecake that I sometimes dream about, that's right I won't lie..I do crave that rich smooth velvet work of art. It took me years to finally get it so it didn't crack, the crust came out perfectly, it wasn't under cooked, or over cooked. Either way, I…

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Review.......Must See!!

Tonight we went to see the new movie Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 3-D. I have to say, I give it a big "Way to Go!"

I have a 2 year old, so sometimes it is hard to hold his attention at the movies. Well, this was not the case today! I even got to hear my little guy laugh out loud as Scrat the Squirrel continues his love affair with his beloved acorn. (and possibly a foxy looking little thing that also loves acorns...)

It has romance, humor, action,… Continue
