Relax. Accept. Appreciate.

Sometimes you don’t realize how amazing your life is until you move away from all that is comfortable and cherished.  It is then, when looking back, that you realized how almost perfect life was before.

In that almost perfect life I had: Baby Girl #1 who obeyed and never talked back, Baby Girl #2 never cried and was on a perfect schedule, my husband and I got along great, and I had a wonderful community of friends.  On top of all that we lived within ten minutes of the beach.…

Juggling Life

Juggling my roles as a Mother, wife, woman, housecleaner and cook is sometimes overwhelming. On some days it’s an accomplishment if I’m dressed before noon and the kids have been fed. Those days are the days where I can’t seem to get the baby to sleep long enough to manage getting clothes on, breakfast made,…

Zac Efron - Man of Style

This blue-eyed, tousle-haired, singing-and-dancing phenom hardly needs and introduction. His dreamy Hotness, Zac Efron,

an ultimate dream of adolescent girls across the planet Earth.

Zacomania keeps spreading fast, and throngs of Zac-struck moms join

their afflicted daughters in Efron worshipping.

I've caught this powerful Zac bug myself ,when flipping through the channels one night I

Crushes

The whole thing with Ed got me thinking of the guys who never knew how I felt about them. Would I ever come clean with them? I'm not sure how many crushes

I've had but these are the ones that come to mind:…

Dear Diary

I came across some of my old journals.

It was so weird looking through them. (I know I have tons more

somewhere)

I was a really great chick! I was so confident and smart. I wrote about wanting Gman in my life. I also wrote about Ed, a male friend I had at the time.…

Is the Grass Greener?

I have been a full time stay at home mom. I have been a full time working mom. Although I felt fulfilled doing each (tired too), I also always felt judged by the women standing on that thick green grass

over there.

When I was a full time stay at home mom it felt as though there were working moms everywhere I went. They

made me feel less of a woman because I was at home all day. I must…

Facebook

I had this really good friend in high school. We even lived together for awhile. We were really close, I thought.

After I became pregnant things slowly changed. My biggest priority was having a healthy baby. I lost a lot of friends who still wanted to be kids themselves and party it up... nothing wrong with that at all.

I… Continue

The Case Against the Flawed (almost) SAHM - SAHM Project - Entry Seven

Self-evaluation is never easy. No one likes to admit when, or how many

times, they are wrong. This is especially true for me. But,

self-evaluation is necessary for any real, beneficial changes to occur

in ones behaviors.

And it seems on days that I am most adament about avoiding the

blemishes on my character, my husband turns into a gigantic, gaudy

mirror, waiting with baited breath to point out that I'm not as sweet

as I claim to be.

Last… Continue

Pulling Off the Highway - SAHM Project - Entry Five

Today I had a very surreal experience on my everyday commute to work. It is not often that this drive is cosmically metaphorical, it's not even fun, exciting, or interesting. It's

typically just a boring stretch of road that leads to another boring

stretch of road, that leads me straight to my 8 hour prison cell.

Sedentary Land. Sit, type, file, email, talk on the phone. Ooops I'm

depressing myself!! Back to cosmic drive :)…

Marriage Mondays ~ Sickness and Health

Some modern vows delete it, but most who wear wedding bands promised it "in the presence of these witnesses." You know the part ... "in sickness and in health." Few think of the likelihood of experiencing sickness, physical or emotional, in married life. It's inevitable, though, that infirmity will strike during life together and may range from stomach flu to kidney stones to long term or terminal illness to depression and anxiety. It's hard to live out our vows "in sickness and in health."… Continue
