I've been watching the Tournament of Roses Parade on television for about 35 years now. It has always been a beautiful & traditional way to start off the new year. I've always wanted to see the floats up close & personal and this year, we did it! It was an awesome experience and I feel truly privileged to see these giant artwork pieces right in front of me.Continue

Today is the beginning of a bittersweet year for this Mom. My youngest--the baby--is now in middle school. That alone is hard for me to grasp since I can still clearly see his bright shining little face declaring his need to go see "It's a Small World" at Disneyland. And my first-born, also a baby in my eyes, is officially in the 8th Grade--the last year of middle school--ready to embark on a few adventures during the year, spreading his wings & heading towards independence. I would…Continue

We went back to Las Vegas again this year for more desert adventures! We stayed for 4 days/3 nights and had a wonderful and relaxing time. With Vegas, you have to plan ahead and make sure you take it easy on yourself especially during the hottest parts of the day. A notable change in Vegas is that many of the Casinos on The Strip & Downtown now charge for parking. It's not terribly expensive--about 5-6$ for a few hours, but annoying when you remember the good 'ol "free" days. And also,…Continue

Catholic Schools Week 2016 officially began January 31, 2016 with lots of rain! But it didn't stop the crowds that gathered to check out my sons' school. We had a great time visiting every classroom and chatting with the teachers. I love collecting memories like these...the boys are growing up so fast. I'm thankful to have plenty of pictures to cherish always.Continue

Despite living in SoCal our whole lives, the husband & I have NEVER been to the La Brea Tar Pits before today (January 30, 2016). For some reason, it just kept alluding us as kids. The husband was suppose to go on a field trip in elementary school and the year that he was scheduled to go, they cancelled funding. And me, well, I've been to several museums in Los Angeles and have always heard about The La Brea Tar Pits, but for some reason, just never went. So, when the Los Angeles…Continue

Hi! This is a repost originally posted in January of 2015 of just some of our memories of our Orlando, Florida vacation...
When I mentioned to a few people that we were going to Orlando, Florida, the general response was, “Disney?” Although there are so many other attractions in Orlando, WDW is the main iconic attraction. The main attractions, not counting the Hotel Resorts and the Waterparks, are four theme parks: Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Epcot.…Continue

It's been a very Blessed year and I'm beyond grateful that we were granted a beautiful Christmas celebrating with the special people in our lives. I've had numerous conversations with my children about privileges and being grateful for everything they have--most especially the gift of life, love & health! Above all things, it's our unity that I'm so thankful for! It is the true meaning of Christmas & I wish everyone peace: mentally and physically, to live life to its true potential…Continue

It's the eve of the kids starting the new school year, so I'm in a reminiscing mood. Here's a post from the start of summer--July-- and all the fun we had at Comic-Con in San Diego. Hope you enjoy it!

Well, the last night of summer is fast approaching, and I’m feeling sentimental about the end of another summer with my kids. While I was thinking about all this last week, I got an idea that I am happy to share with all of you. This little idea is not based on a family tradition, but is a new idea that I will be trying in my home on the last night of summer. I thought you might like it too!
So, when my three children crawl into bed on that last exciting night before starting a new…Continue

The beach. The boardwalk. The ghosts… All Sara wants is to be “normal,” but her paranormal abilities
make that difficult. And, now that she’s moving across the country to an old New Jersey shore town
filled with ghosts, things are getting worse. Because this time, she doesn’t just see the ghosts, she can
hear them, too. Find out more at…
