Signs of Spring

The snow is falling outside and all I can do is long for the Spring-like weather of last week. The weather was so mild that I donned my new shoes and went hunting for the signs of Spring in my garden.…

The First Time...

Yesterday was the start of National Adoption Month.  Around our house I have been busy writing articles for Adoption.Com on different ways to celebrate the month, and we have all been sporting purple ribbons for adoption awareness.

Adoption is a big thing in our family.  I am an adopter.  I adopted my…

Today we celebrate Elle’s A-Day. No, it’s not her birthday; although we celebrate those in fine fashion…it’s her adoption day. I adopted her 11 years ago today.…

Failure of the System

I am sitting at my desk absolutely so angry that I could spit nails. I just read a series of articles

that reported the return of a 7 year-old Russian boy back to Russia. The adoptive mother, from Tennessee,

put him on an airplane bound for Moscow, alone, with a note saying she was

returning him. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?yes""> And…
