Denny And The Man In San Diego

Among all the fast food outlets, I come to conclude that I love Denny the most!

I've seen Denny along every highway but didn't get to experience
the food until the day we left San Diego...…

San Diego Cruise Tours Make Me Yellow

My two hours cruise along the San Diego harbour cruise... I thought I would be getting some good rest sleeping during the cruise... I was wrong... I didn't even snooze off this time.. instead I was enjoying the scenery and the wind... (plus the sun!)…

San Diego Harbor Exursion Made Me Yellow

Back to my overdue "cruise post" ... we took a two hours deluxe harbour tour on the bay of San Diego... this two hours tour covers Harbor and Shelter Islands, Point Loma, Cabrillo National Monument, North Island Naval Air Station, the Submarine Base, as well as the Coronado Bridge and more...

Two hours cruise.. I thought I would be very bored and sleepy... but no.. I was very awake surprisingly... As usual, I let my pictures tell the story..…

Dinner At Chin's Szechuan Restaurant In San Diego

After checking into our resort apartment, it was almost time for dinner.... and I was most excited and happy when I heard that we were going for Szechuan food instead of western food!  Phew... that is really good news to me ...not that I don't like to take burgers and stuff but because I am a rice lover... I must have rice at least once a day or once a week if it is not too much to ask... LOL...

One of my sister's friend is working in this Szechuan restaurant called Chin's…

"Are you watching these children?!"

. . . was the question from the very irritated and judgmental man who almost ran my children over in the Target parking lot!  “YEEEEEEEESSSS!” was my defensive and embarrassed response.

It’s Spring Break and my “oh sh*t, I’m a stay at home mommy” hives have kicked in.  I have to entertain the children all day and maintain some semblance of my sanity.  It’s gonna be a long week.  But, on the bright side, Camp Runamuk is in full swing.

Here’s what I learned about…

Vacation Day 6, Back to Sea World And Then Home...

So our last day of this wonderful San Diego trip we had discussed either going to Lego Land's Water Park, or heading back to Sea World. At the beginning of the week, I was excited about the water park idea. I wanted to be able to enjoy the nice cool water or sit and sun myself a bit. But when I got sunburned at Sea World, the idea of possibly getting burned again didn't appeal to me…

Vacation Day 5, The San Diego Zoo!

I had this post partially written without the pictures uploaded, when I hit a button, and it all went away, then blogger decided right at that time to auto save, so it saved a blank page. I was sooo upset! I need to learn to write my posts in word or something then transfer it to my blog because this seems to happen all to much with a toddler trying to always sit on my lap as I'm…

Vacation Day 4, A Day at the Beach...

I was going to blog about our trip to the San Diego Zoo, but I forgot that we had a day in between. We needed a low key day, especially with a toddler where we weren't running from exhibit to exhibit or ride to ride. So we spend day four touring the USS Midway and spent the last half of the day at the beach. I am amazed at the Seamen who…

Pre-Vacation Post

If you had no idea I was on vacation this week, then I did a good job at scheduling my blog posts, tweets and facebook updates. Truth be told, me, my adorable son and amazing husband spent a lovely week in San Diego living it up before our second edition to the family comes in November/December. We had a blast and I took over 800 pics. We got so much… Continue

Surrounded By Beauty

Follow my blog "Rub Some Dirt On It" at http://vermontwhitneys.blogspot.com

I used to live in San Diego, California, quite possibly one of the most beautiful places in the world and without question the most beautiful place I have ever lived.  My life then was lazy and chaotic, rocking Uggs and flip flops, exploring mountains and deserts and beaches.  But the most central part of my casual life in SoCal…

National Moms (and Non-Moms) Nite Out in San Diego

I love to entertain. There's something about creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable, enjoy good food and good conversation, and can relax that really gets me. Playing hostess is fun, and being a good (nee exceptional) and attentive hostess is important to me. I thought that if I was ever give the opportunity to have my dream business, it would be in party planning. Well, after the stress of this week, now I'm not so sure.

When Maria Bailey of BSM Media asked me to be… Continue
