Looking for Opinions from Parents Everywhere....

I am VERY close to finishing my long-awaited Ebook, “50 Amazing Ways To Steal Time With Your Kids – A Parent’s Journal”.

I have spent much of this past year thinking about and creating this collection of 50 unique and diverse ideas to share with you, but I am finally about to wrap it up.  I will be releasing this book in late September.

This book was designed to cover a vast spectrum of ideas.  Most of them can be fit into an ordinary day with just a bit of planning, while a…

It's Potty Time

Are you ready to potty train your little one? I can honestly say this went very well with both of my children. Leila was first. It took me one week to potty train her at 18 months with only one accident. This is how I achieved that!

I was a stay-at-home Mom, so I was able to take her right off…

The Social Media Time Vacuum

I am totally guilty of getting sucked into Twitter.  And Facebook.  And now Pinterest.  It doesn't help that as a small business owner with a limited advertising budget, social media is a great way to meet new clients and advertise.  I may say I go on for my business, but I know I stay for the pleasure of social…

Time has no value.......

As my niece gets older, she’s becoming increasingly harder to lie to. But my step son believes every word i say. I’ve never told him elaborate lies — like I fought in the war or helped build rome — but I’m guilty of a little fib now and then, mostly in the name of keeping the peace. If it avoids a tantrum, I’m totally OK with saying things like “Oh, sorry, we can’t play with teddy now because he is sleeping and if we wake him he'll bite, or “We’ll look for your squeaky shoes later” or “the…

Time Outs? Terrible 2's here I come!

http://harpergracebaby.com/item_401/Time-Out-Mini-Rocker.htm

Well, As a new parent, ( with my first child especially)  I had read so much stuff regarding how to do this and how to do that...It actually started to drive me crazy.  So by the time the second one rolled around I relied on my instincts more.  I am a much calmer parents to some degree thankfully.......However, one thing that I held on to was having a…

GUIDE TO GETTING OUT THE DOOR

We are lucky enough to have arranged our work schedules so our little guy is at home with one of us while the other parent works.  At least most of the time.  This week is the first time we had to take to him to a sitter outside of the home.  I gotta tell you, I have mad props for the moms that do this every morning.

I sorely underestimated the amount of planning and effort it would take to arrive at both the sitter and my appointment on time.  I went to bed thinking "all I need to…

Time? What Time?!

So, I took a training on time management last Friday, and I am just now getting to post about it.  The training itself was enjoyable, and I'll tell you some of what I learned- but first - can someone please explain to me how I'm supposed to manage time that doesn't exist?

Maybe that's a bit dramatic, but it's really how I feel this week.  Too many things on my plate, all of which seem pretty important.  It stresses me out and makes me feel more disorganized than I already am.…

Dump Your Watch and Get More Out of Your Day

I'm thisclose to declaring email bankruptcy. I recently returned from a week long business trip to Asia and, no kidding, I had 700 emails in my in-box--and that's with an out-of-office notification turned on. To cap it off, I had a pile of mail, dozens of meeting requests to sort through and a laundry list of items I needed to do at home.  If you feel whipsawed by a never ending stream of voice…

Time

These days it seems like Time just flies by. Pre-baby, I thought nothing of time. 1 hour didn't seem like 5 minutes. I had free time. It didn't take 4 hours to watch a two hour movie because your toddler was screaming through half… Continue

Shut-up! I am too a good mom!

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of bath time. I know some parents enjoy bath time, and I suppose they also like getting their sleeves wet up to their elbows and wrestling with slippery toddlers. Bath time reminds me of drinking margaritas...it starts out nice enough but someone always ends up crying. ...Continue… Continue
