Existence Defined By Weeks. What Is That?

I am now 20 weeks along in my pregnancy.  I am only aware of this number because it was displayed on the screen at my last ultrasound, 19w5d. For those like me that don’t do math off the top of your head, that’s 5 months. I definitely told someone the other day that it was 4 months. It was later that night after having counted the weeks on my fingers that I realized I completely made that answer up.  I was tempted to email them and correct myself in the case that they noticed the week to…

The Magic of Toddlers

August is not only the month that most children return to school, but it is also unofficially National Toddler Month. So it seemed appropriate to blog on something related to toddlers this month. Toddlers are defined as children between the ages of one to three. This is my favorite age group. They are those magical creatures that find awe in everything! Everything is new and exciting to them. They are working on figuring out how to assert their independence, but also want to know that they…

A Shirt

Every day kids learn something new.

With toddlers its a constant stream

of new words.

Car.

Dog.

Shoe.

Milk.

No.

Yea.

Um.

Yuck.

Hat.

Eat.

Shirt.

Shirt. Simple enough. For you and me.

I say to him, "lets get your shirt on."

He says, "a shit

on."

I say, "put a shirt on."

He says, "aw shit."

I say,

"Honey, a shirt. To cover your tummy and protect it from the…

Did TLC Go Too Far? Toddler Dressed as a Hooker?

TLC's hit show, Toddlers and Tiaras, has long engaged my gag reflex. Something about pageants in general creeps me out, but pageants featuring girls barely out of diapers? Ick. The mothers are basically insane, and the pageant judges should seriously consider adopting a new profession. I mean, they judge little girls inevening gowns. It's just wrong, people.

But not one to be outdone by…

My Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day...

Yesterday morning, I was so excited about Friday Night Sew In. But not right when I woke up. Because when I woke up, it was to Little Moore peeking over the side of the bed saying "HI!"

LM has childproofing doorknobs on his door. He shouldn't be able to get

out and about on his own. I jumped out of bed to check... and YES! He

still had his pants on! Lately, LM has been… Continue
