First Order of Business: Learn to do things alone. I know too well, the story of how a person waited to do the things they wanted to do, because they were waiting until other people around them were able do it as well.
I also know about what waiting for the “right person” to do those things with, sound like. Granted, the right…Continue

Eating out in a restaurant is a great experience for people from all walks of life and all ages. This is because it gives you an opportunity to enjoy fine dining and unique cuisines that you may never cook at home. However, not all restaurants can offer their guests a unique dining experience. This is…Continue

In an era of availability of air tickets which can even mean that you can afford business class tickets within your affordability, the tendency to travel has definitely gone up leaps and bounds. These days people don’t even think twice before planning to go for a tour. On the contrary, a foreign tour for many people has different factors. One very common factor among them is the availability of the cheap…Continue

My Personal Lifetime Bucket List of 4 realistic Places to Visit in the near and 3 in the distant future. Below are the places that I hope to visit in the near future and more of where I look forward to visiting in the distant future. As a blogger, I have had the opportunity to take media trips all over. With the shaky political climate and culture of divisiveness, it's hard to stop and smell the roses nowadays. So, when I stumbled upon this show that's based on the premise of a man whose mission is to travel the world relying only on the kindness of strangers for food and shelter, it immediately intrigued me. Acts of kindness is not a new concept but, it gives us a fresh perspective and makes us think that there is in fact goodness left in this world.…Continue

Our family recently took a 6 day trip to Maine for our niece’s wedding. The wedding was amazing (and our son was possibly the cutest ring bearer EVER – and YES, I’m biased).

When my husband asked me to go on a cruise before our daughter arrived I was all in. We needed some relaxing time and a baby moon was the perfect way to get it. I understood and liked the idea of a baby moon, but I was not sure how I felt about being pregnant, with morning sickness, feeling huge, waddling like a duck, sun burning faster than ever, and just plain being uncomfortable on a ship. Turns out, it was fine and I enjoyed myself immensely. (Cruising has it perks for pregnant women.…Continue

You did it, you have decided to take a cruise vacation. The cruise line is selected, and you know where you will be sailing to and from where. Excitement is running through your veins and your heart is pumping and you ask yourself, "What's next? What stateroom should we pick?". Do you go all out and get a suite or because of funds do you settle for an inside stateroom? While the actual room type matters it also matters where on the ship your room is located. Here are my thoughts on what you…Continue

Cruising is my favorite way to vacation. I love watching my phone signal slowly fade as we sail away until there are no bars or service. My husband and I have been on 3 cruises, and will be going on our 4th this year. Other reasons I love cruising is because it is cost-effective and family friendly. Where else would you be able to get an almost all-inclusive 2 week vacation for 2 adults and 2 kids for $2,500.00 or under? On a cruise you get lodging, meals, entertainment, and adventure…Continue

My family and I love Disney World in Florida. Before having my daughter I personally had been to the parks multiple times, but after having my daughter I got to see a side of the parks I hadn't seen before. A calmer, slower paced side that I never knew existed at Disney World. I was a new mom with a 3 month old. I was an exclusive pumper so feeding my daughter was a little more cumbersome than just sitting down and breastfeeding her. If you are a pumper you know that you need some space,…Continue

Guess where went a couple weeks ago?!
New York City!!
On the first day of our trip to New York we went to see the Statue of Liberty and the immigration museum on Ellis Island. Then we took a walking tour of slavery and the underground railroad. That was poignant and fascinating. In the evening we went to see the Broadway production of The Color Purple. The talent was incredible…Continue

We went back to Las Vegas again this year for more desert adventures! We stayed for 4 days/3 nights and had a wonderful and relaxing time. With Vegas, you have to plan ahead and make sure you take it easy on yourself especially during the hottest parts of the day. A notable change in Vegas is that many of the Casinos on The Strip & Downtown now charge for parking. It's not terribly expensive--about 5-6$ for a few hours, but annoying when you remember the good 'ol "free" days. And also,…Continue

This is a repost from January 2015, I'd like to share again...
On our recent family vacation trip, our airline of choice due to convenience and price was Jetblue Airlines. They are fairly known in my neck of the woods having quite a large presence in our local airport. Each seat is equipped with its own television screen. I didn’t want any ear phones since I was planning to either take a nap or read my Kindle, so I picked the “Map” channel which is a live pinpoint of our location as…Continue
