Behind Every Well Dressed Man There is - Trunk Club

My husband does not, will not and down right hates to shop. I have spent many wasted hours shopping for him, having to return most of what I had bought. I kept telling myself that, from now on, I would not buy him clothes anymore, but it did not make sense. After all, I was at the store anyway, for either myself or one of our children, I might as well look for him also. Since he would never do it on his own… He’d still wear his early 90′s garb if it was just up to him.

Then I…

Cuff Bracelets for Grads and Dads - Instant Statement

I recently wrote an article about the in-fashion of cuffs for women. Let’s not leave the men out. No matter what their age this one single piece shows that he has style and is not afraid to show it.  They are perfect for both the young and, shall we say, seasoned, men in your life. With both Father’s Day and graduations just around the corner, these may just…

How to Say 'I Love You Mom' - Mother's Day Gift Guide

How do you thank a mother for all that she does for you throughout the year? Feather Hair Accessories

Have you been hearing a lot about feather hair accessories lately?  Feathers seems to be a popularHair Extensions trend right now.  A headband with feathers or a hair clip or even a feather extension to add to your hair.  Etsy has quite a few options for hair extensions on their site. A little MacGuyver inspired photo shoot

Feels like I haven't I haven't posted all weekend.  Oh wait, I haven't. Sorry wonderful people who read my blog.  I've been working on a little side project that took up most of my free time this weekend.

But today I thought I'd give you a tutorial on how to take some "product shots."  You know, pictures of things like jewelry or food or anything that you want to take  a photo of but you want it to have a white background and to be sitting on a white surface. Does this make sense?…

It’s March. And just guess what the weather is like here in Chicago today? It’s raining. Buckets. Frizz day. Or…

Here’s a cool idea. A stylish, rain-resistant rain scarf. Dena Perry – bless her heart, also from Chicago, invented the Pop.N.Go rain scarf. What is it? It’s a convertible rain scarf that protects your hair…

Got my craft on today! My nes crocheted headband

First off I would like to say that this wonderful project was not my own creation. Nope.  I went Stumbling around a few nights ago and found a great tutorial on how to make a crocheted headband.

I am not a great crocheter (is that a word?). I learned how to crochet in High School from a friend.  She was able to teach me even though I am left handed. And she taught me how to crochet like a righty.  Yay for being… Continue

Workout Gear to Fancy this Spring

Finally, days are getting longer and, though I hate the feeling of losing an hour, Daylight Savings time (March 13) means that there will be light when working out in the wee hours of the morning. Just enough to make those early bird workouts somewhat less painful. So, if like me, you are looking forward to hitting the pavement instead of the treadmill, we thought that you would enjoy these particular finds:…

Socks: cool and wacky, classy and goofy, sweet and sharp – there is no such thing as too many socks; especially, when you deal with washer, drier and boys. Therefore, the more socks, the merrier and since this new trend of rolled-up pants and exposed bright and fancy socks is taking  men’s fashion by the storm we need to pay some serious attention to this sock business. My Stella and Dot knock-off bracelet, with a tutorial

I haven't done a crafty project in a while, and I thought, "It's about time you did one, people are getting bored over here."

So here goes... my first attempt to make my own jewelry. (Other than that one time I thought I was cool in 8th grade and made myself a button bracelet. Haha. I was lame.)

I have been lusting over this bracelet from…

LittleMissMatched Socks - Solution for the Sock Lost in the Wash

Over the holidays my family went to Downtown Disney, a street of restaurants and shops that links Disneyland, the Disneyland Resort and California Adventure Park, to have lunch. While we were walking around my daughters noticed a store, LittleMissMatched that featured vibrant socks in the window and asked if they could go in. Why not? They can always use more socks, their sock drawer being… Continue
