Family relationships. Brothers and Sisters

What is the place in this large, dangerous and hostile world where we can hide from all problems, find support and understanding? For the majority of people it is home. Who can help us in every situation, give advice, and just love us as we are? They are our mothers, fathers and, of course, brothers and sisters.

Is not it cool to have the…

Search Bing and Get Rewarded

Every day, you turn on your computer or you pick up your mobile device. How often do you use them to conduct a search on a search engine? I'm guessing, it's pretty often.

Did you know, by utilizing the…

You’re too old. As if! Growing old never looked so good! (Giveaway!)

I must admit, if you would have asked me my thoughts on ageing 10 years ago my reply would have been a negative one. And why not!?! Everything I had seen on television, in magazines, conversations with friends, etc. told me that once you get grays & wrinkles your life was pretty much over; you mine as well curl up into a ball and wait to die. Nothing about getting old seemed glamorous. Old people always complain about this breaking, that not working like it used to, etc. Ugh! Who…

Before you upload that picture...

Let's start with privacy basics: The bathroom door.

After several years of repeated discussions, my son has finally learned to knock on the closed bathroom door. About 60% of the time he also waits for acknowledgement before trying to come in. It is (in my head) a parenting triumph.…

Click on the link below to see how I spent my b-day!kindness

What I absolutely adore most about this experience is how many people said they were going to pay it forward. And the fact that when I logged onto Facebook that night a friend had said that someone paid for her coffee and she…

My Hospital packing list

I realize this post is quite a bit after my hospital stay, but I thought it would be a good idea to reflect on my hospital packing list for my delivery. I read a lot of articles on what to pack in your labor and delivery suitcase and many of them were repetitive, and some had some great ideas that I haven’t though of. So here is what I packed, and my discussion on whether I used the items or not.

My Labor and Delivery Hospital Packing List…

Cirque du Soleil Amaluna Experience

This was our first time at a Cirque du Soleil show, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When the opportunity to visit presented itself, I had to visit Google to find out if it was appropriate for kids. In their FAQ's section, it states: "Like most of Cirque du Soleil’s shows, Amaluna is meant to entertain the whole family. That said, moments of loud noises and darkness used during the show may frighten some children."

They've…

Think I Found My Solemate

I love wearing ridiculously high heels.  You know, the kind that make you cringe in anguish with each step taken after a short while of wear.  Regrettably, as I age, my threshold because shorter and shorter.

The pain is never a deterrent for me.  Nope, I suffer willingly. I ignore the toe-crushing sensations and the scorching agony that begins in the balls of my feet and shoots up my calves. I suck it up. At barely 5'3, I NEED the shoes. They give me a commanding presence.…
