My little guy started teething and its the worst thing in the world. I dont know what to do sometimes and he gets so antsy cause I cant help him. I have tried orajel, teething rings and at times they work but
other times he just gets mad and goes on his marry way. He is so cute!
I guess its something we all have to go through and to be honest I am glad I am home to be able to take care of him and help him through this. Continue

Did anyone else catch last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? If so, you saw two moms plan over-the-top birthday parties for their two toddlers. And yes, I said BOTH moms planned and held elaborate parties. I mean in comparison, one of the mother’s really went overboard (as did her plastic surgeon regarding her overly plumped lips)….and the final event didn’t… Continue

Johnathan is five months old now and we have just successfully completed the transition into baby food. We were so excited to begin this next milestone a few weeks ago and ran into a bit of trouble at first. We went to an organic grocery store and purchased apples, pears, sweet potato, bananas and Karo syrup for some sweetness. We came home and began preparing....only to find out baby Johnathan was not as excited as we were. After a talk with his Dr., he recommended we try… Continue

After being out of work, and living on one income plus a small amount of unemployment, we decided that I needed to go back to work. Violet was older, she was more adjusted and a little less clingy. We decided to
give it a try - again.

I've had a bit of insomnia lately, so you know what that means- Infomercials in the middle of the night! Another guilty pleasure of mine, yes, but I don't watch them to buy things (ok, there was that one time, and the whole 10 minute workout thing sounded amazing, and I had a little money to spare, and the free gifts....blasted all), I watch, well, I'm not sure why. I guess to see the next new fandangled make-your-life-easier product, or, yes, secretly wanting to sabotage the 'we'll make you… Continue

had the inability to sit down and tally up comments to choose a winner

When I was younger, I never thought that I would be a stay-at-home mom. I had thought that I would finish school, work for a while, get married and then have kids. I guess I never really gave much thought to
what would happen after I had my children, but I also don’t think that it
would’ve mattered because from what I have learned, nothing is like it seems on
Leading up to having my daughter,… Continue

This morning at 6:00 a.m. I was enjoying Mommyland
, you know, sitting there on the couch, having just finished nursing my six month old, basically trying to clear my eyes, and get focused on what needs to be done during the day.
As I am sipping on my second cup of Java, watching the baby… Continue

My son, whom I affectionately call Mr. A, recently grew out of his car seat...but he just doesn't seem to want to let it go. Check out how he's showing us that the seat can still work for him.

Whole story here..
Part of becoming a mommy is having to think for someone other than yourself. You have to think what's best for your child, how a decision will affect them now and in the future. I had to make a VERY hard (for both myself and Jaliyah) decision recently, which also contributed to my short absence.
One of the decisions, that I am sure many of us have faced, is whether you and your SO should… Continue

I know you have heard it before. You get your child the best, most expensive toy, and yet they tend to play with the box. As I was sitting there today, a similar scenerio took place. Look at this picture.
no, I am not talking about the squash stains on Hudson's shirt…
