This Banana Bread Loaf is delicious and moist with lots of flavour. Perfect sliced with tea or coffee. Banana bread is wonderful toasted too. Best with overripe bananas.

Victoria Sponge Mini Heart Cakes
I have a thing about cream cakes. They're a huge weakness of mine, like Kryptonite to Superman, but instead of dying, they make you happy. Well, that is until you realise you ate one too many and have to bust out the fatty pants (jogging bottoms)!
But who cares? I mean, fatty pants…

Meringue Kisses
Isn't snoring annoying?
The giant man-baby snores… a lot! When bedtime rolls around it's kind of a race, a race on who can get to sleep the fastest! If I'm not asleep before him, I know I've got an agonising night of listening to his builder-esq snaffling all night until I finally get to sleep out of sheer exhaustion.…

Life, Links and a Recipe
Coffee? Tea? Let’s chat! I’m here and still alive but this is the time of year I usually feel like I fall off the face of the earth. I feel like I’ve been so focused and wrapped up in my own little family of 4 (soon to be 5) and realize that I’ve not given much attention to those around me! Is that normal? Is it just what happens at certain stages of motherhood? I’m definitely in that stage. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I try to keep up. Sometimes scrolling through…

** It's kind of disturbing to hear your nine year old sing about having someone blow his whistle. (Yeah, thanks, Flo Rida.)
** I'm beyond thankful I'm not married to a politician.
** Fun-size 3 Musketeers are downright dangerous.
** My ass is gonna beep when I back up if I don't amp up my workout routine again…

The Silly Cranberry
While I was making cranberry scones with my children, a little cranberry kept prodding me to let her tell the baking story. So, in a spirit of silliness and fun, I let her. I invite you to read my guest writer's post here.
Thank you all and best regards. :-)

Fluffy Pancakes (gluten & dairy-free!)
I’ve already mentioned that my food obsession extends from the kitchen to television and magazines. Thanks to the DVR I never miss an episode of Top Chef or The Next Iron Chef, and I love getting my Food Network, Clean Eating and Cooking Light magazines in the mail. I also often print off recipes from other blogs or the Food Network website, all of which I compile in my beloved…

Building a Better Brownie
One way I’ve learned to get my kids excited about their adult relative’s birthdays is to get them excited about creating a healthy treat in honor of the event. The boy and girl have come to associate their father with peanut butter, their grandfather with chocolate chip cookies and their “Nana” with brownies. My parents came to visit from NJ today to celebrate my mother’s birthday, so of course the occasion called for some brownies.
If you’re looking for a good, straight-forward…

Fake and Bake
When I think of the term “fake and bake,” I think of artificial tanning. I’m all about fake tanning these days since last month I became the I’ve-got-skin-cancer-and-I’m-getting-a-chunk-of-my-back-cut-out-soon Sunscreen Queen. My fake tanning isn’t going so well. I suck at applying it evenly and my legs are looking a little streaked. But, it’s better than the real thing.
But, today’s post isn’t about artificial tanning. It is about an activity I suck at almost as bad as fake…
