Last fall we decided to take my youngest son out of daycare so that he could stay at home with me during the day. At first I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how I was going to care for him during the day. I am thankful that he has started learning how to play independently and can entertain himself for a few minutes. During those first several weeks, I was so excited and wanted to continue teaching him the things that he was currently learning in daycare. Things changed…Continue

Scenario; I had asked our kindergartener ½ a dozen times if he placed his lunch in his backpack and to which he replied, yes, each time. So, I drop the kiddos off at school. I get home and go to the fridge to get our 3-year-old a snack and guess what I see in the fridge? His lunch!! Mind you, I asked him like ½…Continue

Yesterday when I went to pick up my son from daycare, he was playing and having a great time. The teacher was letting all of the kids in his classroom play with puzzles and my son was trying very hard to get the puzzle pieces into the right spot. It was fun to watch him play and learn a new skill. I…Continue

What if I could tell you that you could be the most awesome mother you ever wanted to be and you could create the life you wanted. You might look at me and think I was crazy and say no you can't.
Do you remember what your mother used to tell you that you could do when you were grown up. I know when I was little my mother and everyone else in my family would tell me I could be anything I wanted to be. I know that I tell my children the same thing.
So if we…Continue

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."
So very true! This has been my experience, in the past when I have tried to show my true spirit, my great spirit on views and opinions the opposition although, not violent has been less than pleasant. Luckily, I have decided to take paul McCartney's advice and let it be, for some of the people I have dealt with in the pass have had mediocre minds. Today, interestingly enough my motto has been " Live…Continue
When I was eight-years-old, my young mother handed me a slip of paper with an Einstein quote, “He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned by contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.”
Why she gave this to me and…Continue
