Blogger to Wordpress Move Guide (Part 1 of 2)

The Blogger to Wordpress (self hosted) move is a bloody scary leap. When I began considering moving my blog, I did what we all do, I Googled it. I also checked the Blog Frog Communities. Nothing worked for me though. Nothing quite fit.
