I started participating in #ASKAWAYFriday and I have enjoyed it. I love connecting with other bloggers and learning more about them. I wanted to participate in this blog hop because I don’t always share a ton of information about myself. I thought #ASKAWAYFriday was the perfect way for everyone to get to know me on a personal basis. For those who don’t know what #ASKAWAYFriday is, you exchange a set of 10 questions for another blogger to answer. Below are 10 questions that Beth asked me and…Continue

It has been two weeks since I participated in #ASKAWAYFriday because of the holidays. I love connecting with new bloggers and learning more about them. I decided to participate because I don’t always share a ton of information about myself and thought it was a great way for everyone to get to know me on a personal basis. For those who don’t know what #ASKAWAYFriday is, you exchange a set of 10 questions for another blogger to answer. Below are 10 questions that Jodi asked me and I hope…Continue

So, today I've reached my 100th post on this blog. Not too bad for a hobby I only started in late July. Instead of my usual ramblings about the latest news parents could use, I thought I would take this opportunity (right before the new year) to check in:
Everybody ready? (This could be bumpy.)…Continue

I cannot be the only one...who has written, edited, spell checked, and re-read a blog post only to hover their mouse over the publish button, unable to click and commit to publishing the post. I have gone through this to-publish-or-not-to-publish song and dance with a particular post I wrote recently more…Continue

I enjoyed participating in AskAwayFriday last week and figured that it was a great way for my readers to get to know me. This week I connected with Jhanis at Fascinations of a Vanilla Housewife. Jhanis lives in the Philippines. She is married and has two children.
I met Jhanis for the first time earlier this week, I am new to AskAwayFriday and I was looking for someone to connect with. She happily agreed to be my partner.…Continue

I have been blogging since 2008 and yes, there have been periods of time when I think my words are pretty much spent. 'I've talked about this before' or 'No one's commenting so is anyone even reading my words?' or, a thought that happens more often than not, 'I re-e-e-ally want to write out this experience but if the people I'm writing about read this I would be mortified. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings'. These thoughts, and some others, have held me in what I thought was a blog…Continue

Okay, so if you are friends with me on Facebook then you know that today I received a negative comment on Reddit.
This lead me to try to figure out how best to respond to negative comments. In this post, after I get my little vent out, I am going to let you know what I found in my research (really just talking to other bloggers and friends) and my own thoughts on the issue.…

Don’t you hate when you buy a WordPress theme and you can’t get it to look like the stupid demo? That’s the only reason why you bought the theme right? You were attracted to the theme demo and you pull the trigger to buy it and now you can’t even get it to work. I hate that! What I hate…Continue
In this article I am going to give you some great articles on blogging and business that I have found interesting during the past week. Be sure to check both sets of articles, there is often relevant overlap!
1. Many bloggers write purely for the sheer joy of getting words and ideas from their brains onto blog sites. There are other bloggers who write for money, to earn a living. For these bloggers, this article from the people at…Continue

I'm getting back into the swing of things with a party I started back in 2008 (I can't believe it was that long ago!) Come join the fun at the Virtual Girls Night Out!
I started this party on a summer night when my girls had friends over and I was in need of adult conversation and fun. While my girls watched High School Musical I created my own party…Continue

If a truck carrying only Froot Loops crashed on the road and boxes where everywhere would you pick up at least one box for yourself? What is ethical and what is not? Where do you draw the line? Imagine the boxes are scattered all over the road some even smashed up, it's not likely all the boxes will be recovered and most of them are damaged. You might become hungry you don't know how long you will be stuck in traffic watching the clean up. There is no way they are going to pick up the…Continue
